Port Neko98, merge with AMOR (proposal)

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by seandiggity 6 comments

as far as i know, pngs can be animated too - the mng format itself has not been used quite a while.

I am not sure if it hasn't merged with png? - May 26 2006

Kopete DeskList Plugin

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by conrausch 118 comments

which could be extended by status and protocol handling:
include user mike while online in msn
include user jeff while offline in *
include group * while online in jabber2
---
or plain
exclude *
include * while online in *
(for having only full online contacts)
...
---
something like this.
maybe in xml
and maybe with kmail style filter generation as setup
(multiple drop down boxes which are parsed one-after-the-other)

just my 0.2¢€ - May 08 2006
Kopete DeskList Plugin

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by conrausch 118 comments

agreed, having an option to select "contacts from group(s) only" or even "just following contacts" (even by a regexp) would be very helpful.
something like:
exclude group *
exclude user *
include group vip
include group work*
include user mike
would be the wisest solution imho. - May 08 2006

a with-kopete-headers or something would be very helpful for configure if you have kopete in an svn checkout.

KFTPgrabber

FTP by Kostko 106 comments

No!

first of all, why should anybody stop developing anything? just dont use it if you dont like it.

second: kio_ftp maybe good for most ftps, sometimes it is not. if the server accepts only one connection at a time, you will learn to hate kio_slaves.

maybe you will be gladfull someday if kio_slave freaks you out! - Jan 31 2006
KNet (formerly kdsl)

Network by jbaileys 64 comments

I tried Knet

first the unstable package for debian, then self-compiled. however, clicking on the DSL button makes a SIGSEGV in the program.

My provider provides me with a scriptpackage, which dials in itself. Maybe you could add support to that (Name it "External", similar to "script", but executing bash-commands, having an icon and so on).
The good thing is, Knet finds my internet connection if it is already started up. I could use "Script", but "DSL" crashes the program.

so I use the dialin scripts from my provider (which are quite okay), and I can start up knet afterwards having it "Monitoring" the active connection (which I always have to click :D)

Please add the "External" ability, to execute bash-scripts for "connection" and "disconnect" manually, if possible.

I dream about the day, where Linux users can set up their pptp/pppoe/pppd/pppoa connections like windows user do, with 3 clicks. knet is on the way to that, dont give up. - Jun 19 2005

Amarok 1.x Scripts by mlmitton 67 comments

yeah but for some people, who are coming from windows or using some server sided music in work and so on, and have a lot of WMA's around there, such a script is worth life.

MS introduced WMA and in just 2 years people tend to use it all the way. same for wmv. i could rage for it

so this script is cool.
but it should escape "non-ascii" chars as mentioned. (some string replace where all NON-alphanumeric characters are preceded with a \ should do it).
Also mplayer has now -ao pcm:file=... not -aofile (deprecated).
and: resampling sometimes doesnt work. i had to remove it to get it work with wmas.
and: i have broken pipes sometimes. dunno why. - Jun 10 2005
kynaptic

System Software by l1nux 14 comments

please continue this product.
it looks promising.

atm it is not that powerful, that i can use it (reloading the apt-cache, adding/removing sources, versioning and stuff should be implemented)

however, if this continues, maybe it can implement even more goodies as synaptic does. - Jun 10 2005

erm, thats a Scene from Animatrix. This is not really something pornographic.

You can download the whole movie if you want to...

It is sexy, but you cant see anything. I can see lots of more pervert pictures on the street anyways... - Dec 01 2004

I configured OSD to look like miranda's popup in windows or kopete's popup:
give OSD a background, lower right corner, and voila!

U even can have different colors for contact groups or even single users, and double clicking the popup opens the message. - Jun 16 2004

Kopete has lots of functions still to implement, which sim already has a long time.

I personally use miranda under wine, but sim is my second choice.
kopete simply has just a little set of features and configurations. - Jun 16 2004

normally kde prevents fokus stealing, which causes this problem.

I think it was solved in CVS. but you can solve it yourself by decrease kde's focus stealing prevention in control bar.
sorry dunno where exactly. - Jun 16 2004
