.. is there any chance of getting these in a warmer colour? I think they'd look ace in a nice warm ubuntu-esque orangy-brown. - Jan 14 2010

Thanks so much for adding the version of wave buttons i asked for! :D

I'd love to know where you got the clock theme from? It's spot on! I tried making one myself but couldn't find the right hands for it (i still uploaded it here though).

And that panel is GORGEOUS... - Dec 03 2009

It would look a serious amount nicer if you had used the wave min/max/close buttons. - Dec 02 2009

Sadly for my on Karmic this screenlet doens't display as in the screenshot :(

The 3rd line partially overlaps onto the bottom bar which just looks... rubbish. Shame as it's SUCH a great screenlet! - Oct 06 2009

As for hosting - dropbox! Put it in your public folder.

On topic - i can't for the life of me get this to work as a stand alone job. :( - Sep 28 2009

I was quite keen to blog about this theme - it's certainly the most mac like theme on here - however your condescending and negative attitude to people's criticisms of your work put me off.

As for telling someone they shouldn't criticise unless they've also got output, well a) people come here to find themes not just upload them, and b) why share it if you don't think it can be improved. The points raised by others were valid and you'd do better to look at some of the more popular themes and how the creators seek out criticism and bug reports to make it better.

What an ego... - May 11 2009

Why not just make a logo using the official Ubuntu font? You can install it easy just search in syanptic for ubuntu-title - May 04 2009
Jaunty Scrapbook

Wallpaper Other by d0od 6 comments

I'm not sure i'd called it the best to date - it's hardly unique given it's an 'Aqua Wallpaper' .. in brown with stripes. If making a "os more like Windows and os x" means copying them on everything, count me out. I want Ubuntu to be Ubuntu, not a poor clone of whatever's in OS X. - Apr 28 2009

Thanks! It was my first wallpaper attempt but i wanted something more 'jaunty' than the (imo) worst ubuntu wallpaper we've ever had that comes with Jaunty. - Apr 23 2009

i love how the tango terminal icon is left! kind of the odd one out.

i also would prefer not to have a 'mac' desktop icon - my desktop is ubuntu, not OS X. - Mar 02 2009
I found this theme on deviant art and fell in lurrrrve.

I now use the inlaid alt theme - maybe this theme could use some hidden controls, too? - Feb 10 2009

You can't use this with Windows you n0ob!

It's for the gnome desktop which is a linux based desktop environment.

For windows you'd need to find a similar theme for windowblinds or some such.

Or just install Ubuntu and use this :) - Feb 10 2009
Lyrics screenlet

Conky by dencer 339 comments

Errrm... Rhythmbox already has a lyrics plugin. You can enable it thorught edit > plugins. It also lets you search loads of lyrics DB's. Inlcuding leoslyrics!

This screenlet sucks if you listen to anything that isn't in the billboard top 10. I listen to a lot of punk/pop-punk and the built in RhythmBox lyrics plugin finds lyrics, but this thing only found lyrics to one song i played.

It needs work, for sure. Aside from looking rather basic, the option to use lyrics saved to a .mp3 file would be good. - Feb 10 2009
