I loved the option to hide icons by double clicking on an empty area. But unfortunately it doesn't meet my need, which is to hide the icons that are saved/stored on the desktop itself. Your widget only hides the icons inside the Folder View window, the files saved/stored on the desktop remain visible. I have opened a request for this feature to be implemented on the Plasma desktop itself. This is the link if you want to comment/contribute: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452916

@Psifidotos, congratulations on your great work, you're so talented at what you do, I'd like to share with you some feature ideas you'd like to see in future versions of Window AppMenu Applet: Interaction with mouse commands, being possible to perform actions to maximize, minimize, restore and close the focus window, the commands could be configurable, the default could be, scrolling forward maximizes the window, scrool backwards, minimize, double left click, restore, middle button, close. By default the entire applet area would be sensitive to mouse commands, there could also be an option to set the length (px) of the sensitive area.

Option to configure an icon, custom text, or fetch from the system the image and username when the Plasma desktop is displayed.
