Little suggestion: the "firefox" button is slightly too big in height. I would keep it as large as in the default theme. - Oct 13 2012

I am sorry to tell you that I had to give up developing kitchensync. I took it over from Tobias Koenig to make it work again with the new opensync API, but now that I have started my professionnal life I don't find any time to maintain kitchensync anymore.
I hope there will be someone willing to pick up this nice project. The code is really well written and easy to understand. - Jan 19 2012

This project confuses several users. I would like to have all the attention going to the main project.
Thank you in advance,

This was a known bug, however, it should be fixed in the last release. Did you try the latest svn? Otherwise it should be weird that you are still experiencing that issue.
Kind regards,

You will find openSUSE rpms in the KDE:Extra repo, just add it to the download section (there is a special feature in kde-apps.org to link to a openSUSE BuildService repo). - Dec 12 2010

Furthermore, I would suggest not to start the video automatically on clicking on the "most ..." tabs. So you could browse the different results before launching a new video. - Oct 21 2010

this is a known problem which seems to be (lib)opensync related. It is easy to solve by deleting the lines 52-54 in /usr/include/libopensync1/opensync/opensync.h
Kitchensync should then compile successfully. However, keep in mind that it will only launch with a blank config (delete ~/.config/opensync) because a bug in the member configuration will cause the app to crash, unfortunately! We did not find out yet how to fix it, help is welcome! - Oct 03 2010

KitchenSync is a GUI for OpenSync. Thus, every peer supported by an OpenSync plugin is also supported in KitchenSync. Unfortunately I have not an exact idea of Android's support in OpenSync since the only two pages mentioning "Android" are quite useless:
- http://www.opensync.org/wiki/peers/android
- http://www.opensync.org/wiki/peers/openMoko
You better should contact the developer team to have a precise answer to this question (http://www.opensync.org/wiki/docs#Help). Feel free to update the wiki page afterwards! ;) - Sep 25 2010

KMobileTools works with different backends, it is now very easy to add libimobiledevice to support Apple products. However, there is a lack of manpower to archive this goal in the near future, feel free to have a look at the proof of concept "fake_engine" to add a libimobiledevice engine! Users and developers will highly appreciate! ;)
Thanks for your feedback, kind regards. - Sep 22 2010

Sorry for my late reply, I was some weeks on vacation. On my laptop I have two BT devices too; the one called hci0 and the other one lenovo_sl_bluetooth. I thought it was a special virtual device created by my lenovo_sl_laptop driver, because only one of these two will physically switch off the device. Furthermore, hci0 will only appear when the other BT device is enabled. (Unfortunately the applet does not update the device list; so sometimes the "virtual" BT is not shown. I will fix this in the next release.)
Nevertheless; the applet just queries the devices with a "killswith" property from HAL; you're correct. - Aug 10 2010

"Hi Quentin,
to keep it short: KMobileTools is dead and I have no more time to
contribute to KDE at the moment.
Even if you manage to compile KMobileTools for KDE 4.x, do not expect it
to work. The best you could achieve is reading information from a
simulated mobile phone.
I agree that an app like KMobileTools is missing in the KDE sector. If
you take the time to find your way in the source code and resume work, I
am sure many people would be very grateful :-) I can promise that
working on KMobileTools is a lot of fun.
Best regards,
Matthias"
PS: you can grab the latest version at svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/playground/pim/kmobiletools .
I can compile it successfully - Jul 16 2010

Amarok 2.x Scripts by mopened 6 comments
could you please implement a check if the current folder's name is the same as the album name in the metadata of the currrrent track?
So the script would only copy to that destination if the folder is a full album. It would prevent copying the cover if the current track is one file in a mixed/various artists folder. - May 25 2010

Some modifications to apply:
-------------------
Replace the variables previously coming from FindPlasma.cmake as follows:
PLASMA_OPENGL_FOUND -> KDE4_PLASMA_OPENGL_FOUND
PLASMA_LIBS -> KDE4_PLASMA_LIBS
PLASMA_INCLUDE_DIR -> KDE4_INCLUDE_DIR or KDE4_INCLUDES, should be already
set anyway

A dcop call to show amarok is not clever because the only fonction is a toggle. This would work if amarok is hidden, but this state depends on the last usage and such a toggle could hide the window if amarok is already visible. i hope you understand what I mean! ;) - Apr 23 2007

However, it would be even cooler with a kind of reflexion like the one in amarokFS. Futhermore, I would remove the tracknumber, because when there is non, it trackname is shown as follow "- title". A larger image as default value would be cool, too! ;)
It is possible to prevent screensaver to be launched on track change? This is quite annoying when working on the desktop. - Apr 21 2007
However, in this version 0.6 I dislike:
-the konsole icon, which was much better in 0.4
-the navigation icons were better from novula, espacially since the home- and zoom-buttons in konqueror are from nuvola
-akregator still has no icon
...and what about a skype icon? ;)

- highlight effect on the bouttons (maybe you could use the blue ones from amarok, they're quite nice)
- more effects, like fade-in/out when starting/closing amarokFS
- moodbar? optional
- fix the image, make the reflection stick to the image (it's not always the case)
- elapsed + remaining time
- better skin, the postion of the elements is not bad, but the font has no sense: no difference between artist, track (maybe in one line?), album and year (maybe itatlic?). What about changing the font color to white (or something brighter)?
...anyway, nice work so far!
