Yes, Amarok runs fine in Gnome but the script might not.
There is a 'text_editor' option in the configuration file (~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/scripts-data/weblaunchrc). It's empty by default but you can use it to open the file in whatever editor you prefer. Let me know if you have any problems. Thanks. - May 09 2008

Most Amarok scripts will have a dependency on DCOP, used heavily in KDE.
