Last time I checked it out...Gnu/Linux was "about choice".
I really like Amarok >2.2, but I'm keeping an eye on this project...'cause this one aims be feature complete yet "lightweight".
And by the way it runs fine also on my Windows machines, while Amarok would be a pain in the... 'cause of it's tons of deps. - Mar 05 2010

This theme is great...but would it be possible to have "normal" back/forward buttons, I mean...without dropshadows, like it used to be. I think they're distracting.

First of all, gratz on your great job.
I've always been a great baghira fan, but I left it 'cause I wanted more "integration" with a few gtk apps and gtk-qt engine wasn't enough.
So...is there any chance to see a matching gtk theme (sooner or later)?
That would be great...I would try to do that myself if only I knew how. - Jun 18 2008

QtCurve Gentoo Ebuild (KDE3)

KDE 3.5 Themes by kejpi 14 comments

There is a qtcurve ebuild entry in gentoo's bugzilla, which is updated quite often.
Here it is:

Kubuntu KDE3 for a new experience

KDE 3.5 Themes by vblanton 6 comments

I really disagree with you...
Crystal icon theme may be outdated right now, but it's consistent and I really don't see any reason to say that it's not usable.
Lipstik and plastik, are outdated too but they are just plain and clear, in other words usable. By the way I think that the best style around here is qtcurve, which also grant consistency with gtk and gtk2 apps.
And...about compiz integration, I don't think you will ever see that on 3.x series. Compiz, Xgl and things like that, are still under heavy development and they have still a lot of flaws, even if they seem to be quite stable ( even if I am using Xgl under my two gentoo boxes too :D ). So I think there is no meaning in adding compiz support to kde 3.5.x, 'cause we will have that in kde 4.x series, when Xgl will finally be considered really stable. Using alpha software sure doesn't mean to have a usable environment, at least not for everybody. - Aug 26 2006

I have been looking for something like this for a long time.
Katapult is really a great app.
But could you please add some option to set katapult window position?
And an option to set icon size would be great too :D
Maybe there are other people that would like these features.
So, keep up the good work and really thank you :D - Jan 18 2006

Works fine, great applet :)
There is some problems with the configure script, 'cause I had to manually edit three makefiles to set my KCONFIG_COMPILER variable to /usr/kde/3.4/bin/kconfig_compiler while he had no problems handling other directories.
I even tried with make -f Makefile.cvs command, but it still can't find the right path to kconfig_compiler.
Keep up the good work :) - Nov 04 2005

Almost every single app and library which runs on Linux is under GNU/GPL license, as well as Linux and KDE themselves.
Linux is a single piece in a giant open source unix puzzle, it's an important one but not the only one.
We should thank Richard Stallman for seeking software freedom as we praise Linus Torvalds for creating such a great kernel.
Just my two cents... - Oct 29 2005

not kde, that's not possible, u can do that only with konqueror and some other apps, i just thought it would be good to compile also your app with qtopia support in order to use it even if u don't have kde or ordinary qt already installed or your linux box. - Sep 10 2004

maybe u should also provide a version of your program which can run even without a complete qt package and without kde, since it's meant to be installed:) u should try to add support for qt embed (or something like that) so it can run using framebuffer. Keep up the good work. - Sep 10 2004

There are too many "useless" apps in kde, it would be really useful to choose which ones you wanna install without wasting hd space and time. This is something really missing to kde. If you add this feature to your app it would be great:) - Sep 08 2004

Many people says that linux says that Linux is about choice, so if u don't like it or just don't need it, don't use it.
