thanks for uploading that background.svg file without the shadow painkiller10 1. but unfortunately, that didn't fix the "issue". apparently that isn't a shadow. what else could it be?

btw, as i said before, i'm on kde 4.0.4. - May 31 2008

@ painkiller10 1
could you post a version of background.svg without the shadow for those of us not using desktop effects?
(either in a comment here in the messages or update the theme if you want).

thanks if you will do it. - May 30 2008

ah, thanks for explaining it. you're right, enabling desktop effects did "fix' the issue. but now i remember the main reason why disabled desktop effects: they don't work well with gtk applications. (at least in kubuntu/KDE 4.0.4). with gtk applications & desktop effects enabled window management is impossible. (even with all the window management effects enabled or disabled). maybe kde 4.1 will fix this problem.

in the time being, is there a way i can "remove" this shadow? can you tell me which file needs to be edited? - May 30 2008

i only have one more issue with this theme. i have an "ugly" (only cuz it seems out-of-place/like it shouldn't be there) black "border" for lack of a better term above my panel. i'm using kde 4.0.4 w/ qt 4.4 & version 0.9.4 of this theme. (but it has always been this way).
here is a screenshot of the "issue":

i was using glassified 0.7.1 on kubuntu 8.10 (intrepid) w/ KDE 4.0.4 & it worked fine. but today i upgraded to 0.9.1 and now the logout dialog/window is completely transparent with nothing in it! only the white power logo/icon shows with a white border.
i would take a screenshot but since it is the logout dialog i can't. - May 26 2008

i just want to say that i love your theme. i've been using since the day you posted it here. i think it should be plasma's default theme! - May 21 2008

if i'm not mistaken, george works with jdong packaging ktorrent for ubuntu so i figured he'd know. that is why i asked.

we're still stuck with ktorrent 3.0.1 on (k)ubuntu (intrepid). do you know when we'll get 3.1 beta 2 in the ubuntu repo george? - May 19 2008
KDE 4.2 with two panels & XBar menubar

so i take it that adding more than one panel in kde 4.1 is a normal feature & not a hack of some kind?
if so, awesome! that has been one of my most wanted features.

cool undertaker pic btw... - May 17 2008

this might sound like a dumb question, since this page is about your color scheme... but what font is that you're using with your digital clock applet? - May 14 2008

strangely enough, gdb won't launch any program i tell it to:

gdb konqueror
GNU gdb 6.8-debian

This GDB was configured as "i486-linux-gnu"...

(gdb)

it stops there. - May 14 2008

i would like to request a feature. in addition to launching a mail client to read the mail, would it be possible to add a web browser (i.e. firefox or konqueror) to read/open the mail?
the reason i ask/request this is cuz i don't use a mail client, i only use web mail.
thanks for your consideration. - May 14 2008

i installed bespin 0.1~svn080206-0ubuntu2 from the ubuntu repo. (i'm on kubuntu intrepid w/ kde4).
when i applied this style i got a message saying something along the lines of "certain features aren't compatible so they've been disabled". (i don't know if they have anything to do with the crash).
konqueror & kate crash when i try to launch them with this style. (although okular starts fine). i tried changing/disabling all the settings to determine which one was causing the crashes, but i couldn't determine which one it was.
how else could i debug this problem? - May 14 2008
