PS - If you are using regular Ubuntu, you can install the basic Xfce desktop environment with the "xfce4" package. It is much smaller than the "xubuntu-desktop" package. - Oct 27 2008

I know this. I have submitted several themes. I think what you don't see is that I only uploaded this particular theme as a preview, which is clearly indicated by the version. A preview is meant to simply give a rough example of the release version. I appreciate criticism on a release, not on a preview.

I think that if I keep having this kind of comments, I'm just going to disable the download until the theme is ready for evaluation. - Oct 26 2008

I have submitted an Emerald theme to go with this GTK theme. It's not perfect, but it's something:

As it says in the terminal, this is a custom set of icons based on various releases of Crashbit. If you really want it I can post it on megaupload. Otherwise, just grab the current release of crashbit and it will be pretty close. - Sep 05 2008

I changed the check buttons to the Mist engine, which I think is as fast as Murrina. It's not the same as the original Elegant Brit theme, but I think it looks nice. Let me know what you think. - Jun 17 2008
MurrinaBrit

GTK2 Themes by envyouraudience 31 comments

It could be done, but it wouldn't be in line with the concept of the theme. The original idea was to use the Murrina engine because it is faster than pixmap themes (Elegant Brit is a pixmap theme).

The check boxes in this theme are the default Murrina check boxes. In order to change them, I would have to use pixmaps or a different engine. - Jun 17 2008
