I agree that the Murrina Engine should be a lot faster than pixmap. I tried to make a Murrina port of Elegant Brit here: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=83462

Version 0.1.5 uses pixmapped scrollbars whereas 0.1.4 used the default Murrina engine scrollbars. I haven't posted the new screenshots yet. The download link will take you to my deviant art page where you can see the new scrollbar.

As for the problems with Firefox, I don't know how Firefox uses GTK nowadays so I really don't know how to fix it. I'll play around and see if I can come up with something. It appears that Firefox is treating that window as a menu, but using the text color from a different widget class. - Jun 14 2008

The folder in the archive is named Humanoid-OSX-Black so this theme is installed under that name. But since that's a different theme I think it should be renamed. Also, that folder contains a bunch of image files for buttons that could be removed. - Apr 27 2008

Open gconf (it's under Applications > System Tools > Configuration Editor, or type gconf-editor in the terminal to launch it)

Then go to apps > metacity > general. You will see a key named "button_layout". Change the value of the key to this:

I am having problems with the shadows on this theme. I thought maybe it was just emerald but this seems to be the only theme with the problem. Here is a screenshot:

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but I'm not going to read through all the comments to find out.

I changed the theme to "transparent" and now I can't right-click on it to bring up the context menu. I can move it around with alt-click, and perform window manager actions with alt-right-click.

I think you need to read your own links a little more closely. This use of the logo retains the proportions and colors, and is non-commercial. I don't see how using it in an icon theme qualifies as violating the terms of the trademark policy anyhow.

Additionally, DesolateOne did NOT post this icon theme under GPL. - Feb 07 2008
