I had to install automake1.9, not just automake:
apt-get install automake1.9
and then a clean ./configure and a make did the trick. It solved the issue above. - May 10 2008

Coverflow is cool. Very cool.

But IMO it dos not belong in this FS app. It could be a separate script/app, developed alonside, but not /in/ this project.

Just my $0.02 ;) - Feb 06 2007

I really love teh way this concept opens up the desktop a lot. instead of having contacts inside an app, this idea fires the right app with the contacts! great - Jan 28 2006
Kopete Now Listening for Amarok

Amarok 1.x Scripts by neofreko 25 comments

When I set my status by hand, to offline for example, this script will set me online again.
Is there not a way to detect the kopete status before and re-use that? - Jan 18 2006

Maybe you cound cindider to copy the coplete UI and functionality to a 'stop playing' tab.

I often go to bed with some nice bedtime music. It would be great not to have to wake up at 03.00 only to find the music is still playing :) - Jan 17 2006

Those vertical tabs are about the wost accessability and usability nightmare, IMO.

If you really want devisions, please use stacks, they aer far more friendly. - Dec 23 2005

Yes. tags, in general are a great idea. If they are system wide, and cross application, they will be extrmely powerfull.

Imagine a tag-set that collects all your tags across people (, emails, images (digikam), events, todo's, music (amarok) bookmarks, etcetc.

Hell, we could even develop a really nice kio_tag to brwse "anything" with tag foo and bar: tag:/foo+bar - Dec 20 2005

Kopete Styles by neptune3k 40 comments

It has some small issues, esp on IRC, but those are really minor, IMO.

By far the best style i have seen. Not only is it very usable, its also pure eye candy. Thumbs up! - May 01 2005

It would be even cooler if this module allows you to publish it to a weblog. XMLRPC offers a great API for publishing to a range of blogging tools, such as Movable Type, Drupal and more.

But for now: this looks like a promising piece of work. - Sep 16 2004

Audio Apps by fulgrim 10 comments

allthough I think the way you put it is a bit discouraging, I think in some way you are right.
One of the major problems in kde (compared to for example gnome) is that there is no music player nor a video player that really does the trick.

kmplayer is the most complete when it comes to formats, but its UI is horrible (simple) and there is no medai management
noatun is full of features, but lacks support for extensive media management.
xine is quite unstable, according to the amount of bugreports.
Juk is simple, effective and nice, but lacks support for webradio, it has no plugins for output and input etcetc.

So I think you should have said: why not help one of the existing project become more stable by merging your ideas (wich are very promising and goodliooking, BTW) into one of these projects? - Sep 05 2004
