What if you base your artwork on different elements of submittions to the svg wallpaper contest. This would be sure to offer consistancy as KDE rolls into the next release. And once again demonstrate the awesome power of Open Source. As all of the wallpapers are GPL or LGPL and therefore legal to use. This would also have the unique side effect of insuring a wide acceptance of the look you present since you could pull ideas from the top ten so far. The other thing is to get a team together so that you can continue to maintain the look and funcionality of these elements. best regards. - Jan 02 2005

It is surprising to me that you are surprised at the negetive feed back you have recieved. We are very pro Open source which makes sense. Please bear in mind that we enjoy the freedom that we have in being able to openly contribute to the single most powerful OS in the world. While we do not share the same brain, we do share the same cause and in many cases the same passion for the advanced tech that we use. As for M$ vs Linux they are not even on the same ground or intended for the same users. So your point is not well taken nor recieved. - Dec 19 2004
