Installed this by adding to my apt sources. Excellent, top quality theme pack that deserves to be part of ubuntu base! Love the easy installation. - Aug 01 2010

This looks great.

Would love if someone could provide an OpenSUSE 10.2 rpm. I can't seem to compile it (installed qt4-devel, etc). - May 19 2007

I'm using OpenSUSE 10.2, and just installed the theme but most icons just disappeared. Lots of my desktop icons included, such as .tar.gz icons. Running standard KDE install. - May 10 2007

Yeah, I like your idea of kind of getting rid of the window border too. Borders are really a windows (or even pre windows, like OS/2, old mac os) thing, even though in Linux there's more of a distinction between window and border (because they're 2 different things - eg GTK and Metacity). But keep at it, it's a good path to go down (not another os x/vista clone!), it's looking good so far. :) - Jan 04 2007

I think this is very good - you're right, it's nice to have a simple, but nice metacity window border. :) - Dec 23 2006

I find it looks great with Blended theme:

In regards to the theme, awesome looking dark theme. I don't usually like them but I've been converted with this one. :P - Dec 21 2006

This is cool, but my desktop is 1400x1050; can you make a 1600x1200 version or thereabouts? - Jun 12 2006

Sorry forgot to reply with my suggestions. As you said I think the menu highlight is a little bright - perhaps it could be slightly darker so as the white text is more contrasted. Also, you say you want to make the buttons (OK/Cancel/etc I assume) square - I think they look really good how they are. Looks very modern. - May 26 2006

This is awesome. Given I'm running Gentoo, there are no ebuilds (afaik) for clearlooks-cairo so I got the source from CVS and built just clearlooks with cairo for this, and this theme looks beautiful. :) - May 26 2006

Yeah, this is retro goodness! Looks real good with a transparent terminal (aterm/GNOME term) and small font. Well done. :) - May 16 2006

Great stuff, very handy! Though I create my own as I need them, I installed these over the top. These should be installed with GNOME by default. :) - May 16 2006

Hm, strange.. that worked fine. :) Sorry, maybe I was doing something stupid. Great icons! - May 05 2006

The icons look real good, but standard installation doesn't work. They appear in the list but switching to them just makes all my icons the standard GNOME icons. I tried to remove all the 16x16 references in index.theme (as there are no 16x16 icons), with no luck. - May 05 2006

This is really awesome. Very unobtrusive, elegant and simple but still retains all functionality. I (and probably craploads more people on this site) would love to see this kind of thing implemented in GTK/Gnome/etc! - May 02 2006
