I get working this on Kubuntu when I add $HOST variable and removed slash.

Try to recompile PyQt, maybe it's located in wrong directory, it can be in Python2.3/site-packages, but maybe your system is searching it in Python2.4/site-packages directory. - Dec 08 2005
