I was quite upset to read this... You will be surly missed! From the bottom of our hearts, from all of us GNU/Linux Kde users :(
Best of luck in Windows land!
P.S I too switched to linux because of kde but now I love the whole way linux runs and its other tools. Ironically I've had more problems installing Windows then Linux (and I've installed Linux a lot of times on different machines). - Dec 17 2007

This package's architecture really should be set as all. I have to force install it on my system (amd64). - Oct 24 2007

Tasty Menu

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by mart 499 comments

I don't quite understand this, but no matter how many times I download, unistall and compile I still end up with version 0.6.5.1. At first I thought it was just you'd forgotten to update the about box, but its also new things in the changelog (like drag'n'drop ordering) that are still missing from the actual application. I've checked files in the source like the changlog which are indeed changing to reflect the new version. I'd think this was a error on my part, but I've only been downloading it since version 0.7ish :S - May 03 2007

You could try pressing m (switches to minimal mode) then middle clicking the video (brings the playback bar back) so you lose the side but also the menu bar; which can't even be accessed with alt+F, etc. - Apr 13 2007

Yes, "maybe an option to hover over the menu and it pop up (like kickoff)" was in reference to the actual button/applet itself and "some way of altering the delay (in milliseconds) to opening a group" was indeed suggesting configuring the category auto-open delay. Also when I said "all programs bit" I probably should have said all applications bit as that's what it actually says on the menu itself. - Apr 04 2007

Rolled an AMD64 Debian Package to save any 64BiT people the trouble of downloading nearly 200 megs of *-dev crap and compiling :P
Tested on another AMD64 Kubuntu Fiesty Computer (not the one I compiled it on) and worked perfectly.

P.S. Over all excellent Menu! Some Ideas: maybe an option to hover over the menu and it pop up (like kickoff) and some way of altering the delay (in milliseconds) to opening a group. I'm lazy and prefer as less clicking as possible :D. Also hiding the all Programs bit; a toggle button like the window mode one or some roll-over/hover element? - Apr 04 2007

I'm guessing you haven't explored the properties bit on Konqueror much then. Right click a file and select Properties, on the right from type should be a tool icon. Clicking that lets you alter a file's mime type including adding extra extentions to its list. Its also accessible via Konqueror's settings and KControl. - Mar 21 2007

This is for Konqueror, not Firefox or any other browser. If you want to download Videos off YouTube with Firefox try Video Ook or another Firefox extension/add-on. - Mar 19 2007

No its "GNU/Linux" :), actually Linux is just a kernel and quite useless on its own. "Linux" Operating systems are really just GNU with Linus Torvalds' "Linux" Kernel. - Dec 04 2006
