amaroK Video Capable [MockUp]

I don't agree.
I use Windows but really hate Win Media Player, it's not only bad as an all in one player, it's bad too as a video player! Come on, it don't even have a fast forward/rewind feature, you can't advance/retrocede a video une frame a a time with the cursor keys as you can with, for example, Quicktime!

Besides all this, I really prefer to use une application for music and another one for video. In Windows I use Winamp for audio and whatever (WMP, Quicktime, BSPlayer, WinDVD, etc.) for video.

Keep Amarok as the best audio player in the world, it's right that way! ;) - Jul 03 2006

regarding the short lenght of the url box (which I don't miss, by the way), perhaps it could be implemented a function that when the mouse is placed over that space there is a pop up with the whole URL so the user can check it easily. - May 23 2006

Your changes are just in line with what I think should be done to improve Konqueror's usability.
Thank you very much!
I hope this could be integrated to the main distribution of KDE in the next revision. - May 18 2006

Well, sorry, I think the dissapeared mesages are a problem of the site, because they now have reappeared.
So I retire what I said about this. - Jul 18 2005

I've sent a comment last night, when I come here now to see how the thread was coming I see my message (and the firt one posted) is not there any more.
So what? Are you deleting the messages you don't like? (Mine was not by any meand offensive, just telling what my thoughts).
By the way, I've just put my vote in (a negative one in light of this) and the aprovation percentage has been increased from 44% to 45%... how's that? - Jul 18 2005

I think a "light" version of KDE is something that is really needed.
However I'm not sure the spirit that seems to be behind this project is the right one.
But, again, I'd certainly see with very good eyes that the KDE project itself would consider a simpler/faster version of KDE along with the full one, aimed at old hardware.
I love KDE, and is my chosen platform, but as a Linux consultant I'm awaiting for the day I could put KDE on those old PCs.
If this project acts as a signal for the community to recognize the need, then (even if only for that), I think it is useful. - Jul 18 2005

You're right man, what you mention will do for most cases.

What really bothers me about GIMP is that huge palette windows (layers, channels, etc). Are the developers almost blind or what? or perhaps they have super powered boxes running at 2000x1500 resolution! :(

I, too, think they should learn a lot about Photoshop in terms of user interface and usability in general. Also, users should have the possibility to dock the palettes to the sides ( a la Dreamweaver MX, OpenOffice, etc.), that would be great! - Nov 28 2003
