Plasma 4 Extensions by Lechio 574 comments

Hi!

I'm running KDE 4.3svn from last week with qt-4.6beta, amd64, on Gentoo.

systemsettings -> Mouse -> single click to open folders is active.

Thanks a lot for support! - Oct 21 2009

Plasma 4 Extensions by Lechio 574 comments

Hello!

First thanks for this loong awaited plasma goodie. Looks promising and immediately replaced cairo-dock here.

Is there any way to make it react on single clicks instead of double? Took me 5min to figure out that i need to click twice for something to happen. Sorry if this has been asked before.

Thanks. - Oct 15 2009
Bespin

Hehe, OK. Thanks for the explanation regarding the edges.

The thing in dolphin is just that when it's opened the first time there is no back/forward history, resulting i a big blurry area. It's not a real issue, so nevermind. - Mar 25 2009

Thanks, nice one.

This is what i've been looking for. Fits very well to bespin (which is also used on your screenshot :)) - Mar 25 2009

Looks great! Especially Amarok2. WOW!
FINALLY one could get rid of that ugly and useless thing in the middle, and the current track info is in the title bar where there used to be a useless grey area. Awesome.

Is it possible to deactivate the blurring of inactive buttons? That looks a bit clunky in dolphin.

And the rounded borders look a bit pixelated.

Other than that I love it already.
Thanks so much for this! :) - Mar 23 2009

Ah, got it.

It's from that bar_meter_horizontal.svgz in plasma/desktoptheme/widgets

I swear someone @ OpenSUSE designed that :D - Dec 09 2008

Nice one! Thanks!

Working just fine with current trunk.

Is there some way (may it be in the code) to change the color of the meter?
That green doesn't really fit to my desky.

Plasma 4 Extensions by PlasmaFactory 1198 comments

Finally! A good looking and working weather plasmoid. Thank you so much!

Looks like I can ditch the last screenlet I had now.

But.. why does it show a shining sun up in the middle, at midnight? It's dark and cloudy outside, and the forecast seems to get that right :) - Dec 09 2008

Audio Extractors/Converters by HessiJames 608 comments

maybe ask Peter (who did the ebuild) to file it as a "bug" on bugs.gentoo.org as new ebuild. that way the gentoo community will take care about correct functionality (of the ebuild) and updates. sooner or later it will be available in gentoo's portage anyway (i bet sooner) as that app really rocks!
till then only provide the ebuild.

thx a lot for it!

and aac support would be nice, indeed.(mplayer w/ faad support can handle that) ^^feature request for 0.2 :) - Oct 21 2005

digest was OK here. anyway it's better to let the users do it.

i use -arts globally. with that set, it fails to configure. i had to remove econf and emake, und use the nice kde.eclass function kde_src_compile.

src_compile() {
kde_src_compile || die "compilation failed"

I hope so too. Currently playing around with NI Pro-53 and other VST synths via jack-dssi-host and dssi-vst which i can access via MIDI over MusE.
Would really be awesome to be able to do the same with LMMS :) - Jul 24 2005

* The latency is very high. This way, it cannot be used as live instrument. What I really miss is support for JACK (jackit.sf.net). This way, using jack-transport, it could be synced to Hydrogen. This would be great fun!

Hmmm, the latency is really OK.
BUT: jack support would be awesome, even nessecary i would say. Via jack, dssi and dssi-vst you can use tons of cool VST-Synths and Effect and other cool apps like sooperlooper, hydrogen whatever supports jack too.
Jack can run in realtime, which on a realtime-preemption kernel and good audio hardware gives an overall latency of 1-5 ms. so speedy like a mac!
The announcement on the ml said that SDL can work toghether with jack oO. Any hints on that? 2h of google didn't help to find out the heck how to tell SDL to use jack :P

Anyways, this app is going to rock! GREAT piece of software, and a longawaited one for linux audio - Jul 13 2005

hi!

seems to be a very interesting app!

but could you please add the sources for download?!?

not everyone uses a rpm-based distribution, in fact millions don't! so it would be nice to be able to download the sources in tar.bz2 or. tar.gz format and compile them fitting for the used distribution.

thx - Aug 13 2004
"New" TuxBar

Karamba & Superkaramba by robang 20 comments

hi!

well i lived with that too, until i was told to recompile superkaramba with following changes:

in the superkaramba-sourcetree edit
src/karamba.cpp line 2246

KWin::setType(winId(), NET::Normal);

to

//KWin::setType(winId(), NET::Normal);
(just uncomment it, right)

recompile
reinstall

and you've got the themes BEHIND the windows...

cheers! - May 11 2004

KXDocker with REAL transpancy

Various KDE Stuff by stefano 91 comments

hi!
this is going to be exactly what i'm looking for

0.15 works great on SuSE 9.0 with kde 3.2.2, even with gcc3.3.2...no problem!

i also had a look at your configurator- preview!

there is (going to be) a funktion to put kxdocker on the top or right/left side

plz make this thing work!

yours would be the only docker i know witch can change position, and i want to keep my kde-taskbar on the bottom (because of the tray-icons...i need them!)
is there a way to configure that manually till the configurator works..?

thanks for your work!

greets! - Apr 24 2004

Karamba & Superkaramba by stefano 169 comments

hi!

i like your thing! works great on suse 9.0 with kde 3.2

but i like to keep the kde taskbar on the bottom, is there a way to put osXbar on the right side of the screen (like the real osX thing)?

if yes i would be pleased to know how

thx & greets - Apr 23 2004
