All very cute, but the sooner the bloom is off the rose and people realize stuff like this is just a gimmick and has no useful purpose on a computing platform the better.

The utter waste of resources would be bad enough. 30% of your cpu power gone, poof. But the fact that you can't get any real work done or even have a good game experience because of the distraction simply adds insult to injury.

Color me unimpressed.

Network by thoenig 38 comments

Is there a way that KnetworkManager can store its keys somewhere OTHER than the wallet?

Do these keys really need that level of security? Several users of an office laptop ALL need to enter the same silly key to their personal wallets just to access the company network.

I'd like to have an option for less secure storage of these keys. They just don't warrant this annoying pop up when you try to connect.

My users are saying, I just logged in, why do I have to enter the password again?

Some have put blank passwords in their wallet to avoid this which sort of defeats the wallet all together just because of Knetworkmanager thinking this is a super security issue.

Come-on, guys, how bout it? - Nov 23 2006

Looking more like XP is exactly what we DON'T need in the linux community.

Don't get me wrong, you did a nice job painting that horses rear end, but its still butt ugly.

Sorry, just had to say it.

Don't make Linux more like windows.
There's enough bad already in XP to last
