Not quite following you there, are you having difficulty getting bootsplashes to work in general or you unsure as to how to install new ones? - May 18 2004
What resolution are you running? Some of them scale the image slightly as the ratios are a little off. I've tried to compensate for this when sizing the images, tell me your res and take a look. - May 17 2004

I simply cannot get this theme to work properly on Gentoo, I've been using this Howto:

http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=49036&highlight=bootsplash

This section:

mount /boot
/sbin/splash -s -f /etc/bootsplash/default/config/bootsplash-1280x1024.cfg > /boot/initrd-1280x1024

always complains about the includeprog lines. I can get the background image to display but the box for the console text is the same as the original theme (so badly coloured and not placed correctly).

KBootsplash doesn't support Gentoo yet unfotrunately :( - May 15 2004

But the ordinary installation didn't work for me (might be KDE 3.2.2 or something). Placing the folder in ksplash/Themes with this additional Theme.rc file

[KSplash Theme: JAGS]
Name = JAGS
Description = just another gentoo splash
Version = 0.0.1
Author = jgoetze
Engine = Default
Show Icon = false

seems to work perfectly.

Thanks! - Apr 29 2004

How can I configure it so that %in and %out return the traffic of my modem which is registered as eth1 not eth0? - Mar 29 2004
