Conky by mucas 7 comments
I'm running a broadcom wifi card, I already changed wlan0 to eth1. But it will not display unless I run Conky as root.
How would I apply root privileges to a start up process and not need a password?
any ideas? - Mar 03 2011

I will definitely have to play around with it. A defrag on Linux is just foreign to me. Your whole bashrc = a week of fun times and exploration. :-)
Thanks for uploading it.

Quick question though. Have you ran in to any problems involving the defrag script you have with in the bashrc? I have never herd of a de-frager for any Linux based system. - Nov 01 2010

Am I doing something wrong here? - Sep 27 2010

I completely removed my gnome panels though. If you didn't then there may be conflict between the gnome and awn dock.
Step 4 in link 1 shows how to remove the gnome panels. - Sep 16 2010

other people have already reported this as a bug to both AWN and gnomenu.
for the time being there is a fix.
first find or make an image that you want to use. save it as both logo.png and logo.svg.
note: gimp is great for saving the .png Inkscape is good for the .svg
Now (as root) go to: File System/usr/lib/gnomenu/graphics.
replace logo.png/.svg in that folder with your current icons/images.
now right click on your golden foot, select preferences. your gnomenu options will open up. press OK and reload everything. if you get an sad box just click on it and your image will show up.
if your are a file jumper Vs. a terminal junky. Then make sure to open a terminal and type: sudo nautilus
this will open your files as root and allow you to change permissions. Just assign the owner to you. Then you can modify whatever. *Warning* becareful when doing this with other files.

GTK2 Themes by TheRob 231 comments
It will recommend new icons. Use the recommended or your own. To get new icons do the exact same thing for the theme. (extract to desk top, open themes menu, drag and drop)
Hope this helps :-) - Aug 13 2010
