Agreed - it's the same with bloody Fireworks as well. With GIMP I say "I want to edit 'x'", then I got to the 'x' menu and voila; done!
With Fireworks it's pretty much menu 1 > menu 2 > menu 3 > dialog 1 > etc etc > finished. "But that's not the effect I wanted". Windoze BSOD.

I'm sorry but if you value you download in any way you would not have put it on the WORST filesharing sites ever. I just wanta 5KB file. Could you not have just stuck it on Gnome Look? RapdiShare et al are only good for those silly enough to waste their money every month buying memberships.

It looks really nice, but (I don't mean to sound harsh) I feel the stars add a slight unwanted noise effect to the whole lot. Maybe you could make them more transparent so they are more part of the background. I hope you take this as constructive criticism as its a very nice GDM

I really like that ubuntu logo - i would expect to see it on many more clean-themed wallpapers - the old logo is too bulky to fit into some things (theme wise). Did you do it on inkscape by any chance?

Inkscape is great and you will have to get used to the idea of scaling things WITHOUT them pixellating :P. The filters are particularly great though.
