Seems a great apps. But, there already exist a similar application : Kst. Why have you prefered to make a new application instead of improve Kst? - Jun 19 2006

Why not include this interface in kwin (See #34882)?

(I don't think "it work with any EWMH-compatible window manager" was the only argument, no?) - Jun 07 2006

Try something else : type ~/*ko* (or any pattern) in your location bar. It will show you all files containing "ko". It is another obscur feature. It work very well and it take less place than a quickfilter bar. - May 24 2006

ok.

It could be very good to integrate (replace existant tool) your tool in kipi plugins.

IMHO, I am not really sure, GwenRename is simpler than krename (especialy in wizard mode). Maybe a new presentation of options of krename would be sufficient.

But, do what you think better. :-) - Dec 26 2005
Two questions :

Why not improve batch rename tool from kipi plugins instead of create a new project ?

Why use your program instead of krename? What in GwenRename is better than in krename (more generic tool) ? - Dec 26 2005

> Does this patch let you alter any corner that's bumped by the cursor?

Yes, it does.

> Also, how does it deal with shrinking the size? If it only takes effect once a corner has been reached it sounds like you can either not shrink a window, or else you have to release alt-RMB to keep from shrinking the window when the cursor moves back towards the center of the window?

None of these behaviors. Once you have bumped a border, this border is choosen for resizing and it sticks on your cursor. You can alter it (shrink or enlarge) as you want.

Exemple :

  • Press Alt.
  • Bump left border.
  • Now, left border follows your cursor (right border is ancored), you can place it where you want.
  • Bump top border and now, it top-left corner which follows your cursor (right and bottom borders are ancored).
  • Resize as you want.
  • Release Alt.

(grrr... Why previews of comments are not same than final rendering?) - Dec 01 2005

I agree. And maybe it is a good idea to merge kchmviewer in khelpcenter. No? - Nov 21 2005
