Hi. Try to put the theme in ~/.local/share/themes. Or make a hard link from your ~/.themes to ~/.local/share/themes. - Apr 04 2019
Thanks ! Your desired improvements are another goal that this really simple and minimalist theme. - Aug 13 2018
From now on, I will place all versions here:

Only the version number will obviously change. Does it seem suitable ? - Apr 25 2018
In gtk-3.0/gtk.css, search for:

-GtkScrollbar-has-backward-stepper: false;
-GtkScrollbar-has-forward-stepper: true;
-GtkScrollbar-has-secondary-forward-stepper: false;
-GtkScrollbar-has-secondary-backward-stepper: true;

And in gtk2.0/gtkrc:

GtkScrollbar::has_backward_stepper = 0
GtkScrollbar::has_forward_stepper = 1
GtkScrollbar::has_secondary_forward_stepper = 0
GtkScrollbar::has_secondary_backward_stepper = 1

It's not, and I agree, it's counter intuitive: Gnome's way... Please try this old version, but note it's not as complete as the recent ones:
- Apr 08 2018
Unfortunatly, does not help. 3 is the generic name for all the gtk3 lib subversions. Please use your package manager to know precisely what version you're using. Can't really help here: I never used xubuntu. - Apr 07 2018
Well, you are looking for someone with artistic talent. So not me !

But I did my best to make the colors easily editable. These are located at the beginning of the gtkrc and gtk.css files. Depending of the colors, you may have to modify also the image files located in img/. - Apr 07 2018
xubuntu 16.04 is the LTS version, isn't it? What was the gtk3 version imbeded ? (I'm unable to find this very simple information on their web site...) - Apr 07 2018
Please try:
- Mar 17 2018
It's easy for the gtk3 part: simply add to the end of the file OneStepBack/gtk-3.0/gtk.css

.rubberband {
background-color: alpha(@darker_color,0.5);

I don't know yet how to do it in the gtk2 part... - Feb 22 2018
Thanks ! You're right, seems a good idea to have a colored area selection. I'll have a look at this. (Probably not this week because I'm short in time.) - Feb 06 2018
Could you explain what you're calling "icon highligth aera start" ? - Feb 03 2018
No. Sorry. - Jan 18 2018
To be more specific: as far as I know you're using the QT version of LibreOffice, that is converted in a gtk3 version by your system/settings. It's better to use a genuine gtk2 version putting "export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk" in your ~/.bashrc file. - Dec 18 2017
Ok. Seems the gtk3 version of LibreOffice is going crazy. I have to find the documentation of the theming of gtk3 version of LIbreOffice and add a new exception...

As a workaround, may I suggest you put a

in your ~/.bashrc file to use the gtk2 version ? - Dec 18 2017
Do you have a picture of the problem ? With LibreOffice et gtk 3.22.26, I don't see it. - Dec 16 2017
I updated the description with some informations. (Sorry for the delay.) - Oct 24 2017
No idea, sorry. I am on gtk 3.22.18 and the theme works fine. Stupid questions: are other third party themes working on your system ? And just for clarity, what are your distribution and window manager ? - Aug 12 2017
The selection box bug (rubberband) in caja is now fixed. Please try the 0.96 version. - Jul 27 2017
The orginal code is hosted on my computer... You are the second person in two years to ask for a public repository. Not a emergency but I will rethink it. Feel free to improve the code and send it to me if you want. Help is always welcome: thanks. My email is in the readme in the package. - Jul 27 2017
It's better but still too much for my taste. I have no idea how to do a better job. - Jul 26 2017
I had a look on Caja: try the just uploaded 0.95 version. The background seems ok now. It remains a bug when selecting multiple icons, the selection box is not transparent. I'm still scratching my head. If I find a way to deal with this bug, I will upload a new update. Regarding the tabs in gtk3 part, I now understand your concern. The design is clearly a compromise and I hope not a bad one. If I find some time, I will try to improve it. - Jul 26 2017
Maybe choose a name with reference to OneStepBack (GS4OneStepBack )? This is GPL free software after all. And I can put a link here to your GS theme.

I'm reluctant to fix the mimimum height of headerbars: seems to me a wasted space (and Client Side Decoration for windows has always been a strange idea to me...) - Jul 26 2017
Hum, I must confess I don't know what is Caja. Regarding the tabs, that's probably the changes I made in the last version... I will have to refine my changes. Do you have some pictures of the problems ? - Jul 25 2017
Thanks ! And very good naming ! Maybe I'll change the name to antidote... - Jul 25 2017
Thanks ! - Jul 02 2017
I really don't know.

In fact, this is only the theme I use every day, built because the existing themes did not really suit me. I thought maybe I was not alone in this case and I shared it under GPL license and I try to keep up to date.
- Jul 02 2017
Hum... No idea of the widget used for this... I will have a look at this bug. Thanks for the report. - Oct 14 2016
As far as I know, there are packages for Arch Linux, OpenSuze and Fedora. - Oct 14 2016
Ubo Icons Theme: - Aug 11 2016
The css file includes only the configuration for Mutter, the Gnome-Shell window manager. - Apr 20 2016
It's ok now. - Apr 20 2016
Done. - Apr 20 2016
As usual, the recent gtk3 update broke all themes. Appalling. I started updating: it will be a long road, but I already have a version usable for most gtk3 applications. There now remains the dozens of small and time consuming adjustments... - Apr 18 2016
Thanks a lot ! I will add a large part of your work to the next release, probably next week (I'm short in time this week). Concerning Github, if I see that there is enough interest for people to improve this theme, I will certainly use it.

Actually, I'm very astonished by the general interest for this very simple theme that I started during my traditional summer sleepless nights, just to pass the time... - Oct 28 2015
Thanks ! I was not aware we can use decimal numbers in border sizes...

I will add it to the next release, soon. - Oct 14 2015
It's easy for the gtk2 application, because we can use the default layout. In OneStepBack/gtk-2.0/gtkrc, find:

GtkScrollbar::has-backward-stepper = 0
GtkScrollbar::has-forward-stepper = 0

and change to:

GtkScrollbar::has_backward_stepper = 0
GtkScrollbar::has_secondary_forward_stepper = 0
GtkScrollbar::has_forward_stepper = 1
GtkScrollbar::has_secondary_backward_stepper = 1

For the gtk3 part, we have to build the layout. Maybe in a future version. - Oct 09 2015
Thanks !

By the way, I just wrote a shell script to easily change the four colors of the theme. I will join it to the next release.

Please do your donation to the charitable organization of your choice. - Sep 08 2015

On Arch Linux, with gnome-shell and gtk 3.22.28, I see only empty red boxes, without check marks. See: - Mar 04 2018
Great colors ! So 70' ! By the way, the check boxes are not working. - Mar 04 2018
