Well I do have an entry in /usr/share/applnk-mdk/.hidden/ScreenSavers for tuxsaver, but it will not show as a selected savers under screensave config. If I remove the rpm and reinstall I see it, but when I reboot the system it will not show up. I am not sure what to think.

I am not sure your rpms are correctly setup either. When I reboot the system the screensave is gone. Does some type of enter need to be in /usr/lib/menu?

The Mandrake package must be putting the screensave in the wrong location. As soon as the system is rebooted the screensave is gone. I know when I did some other rpm packages for Mandrake it required you to put a file in the /usr/lib/menu dir, but I have no idea for a screensaver.

I cant get it to run under Mandrake 9.0. Seti works fine at a command prompt, but kseti complains about not being able to open file.

Here is what is says.
Couldn't open state.sah in directory /files/multimedia/seti
RETURNDED 0

The file is in the dir and has rw perms for my current user.

Not sure. Thanks for any help - Oct 07 2002

I upgraded redhat 7.3 to kde 3.0.3 and everything works great. It is a really cool screensaver.

I also have a redhat 7.3 system. I made the change in the Makefile.am file to get it to compile.
i do as follows.
./configure --prefix=/usr
make
make clean
make install

shows up as option but does not work.
