Wallpaper Clock Screenlet

Actually, I just checked, the clock is exactly 45 seconds behind the actual time of the computer clock. - Mar 08 2008
Wallpaper Clock Screenlet

Conky by Whise 73 comments

Hi there, great stuff these wallpaper clocks. I absolutely love them!

I noticed one thing however. It seems to me that they are one minute behind the actual time of the computer clock.

Maybe a small thing, but for people like me who have their time synchronized with time servers in order to have the exact time, it is a tad annoying that the time is off on the clock.

Is this something you can fix? - Mar 08 2008
Emerald Ubuntu edit

Compiz Themes by benamsee 2 comments

I love the theme!

Had to adjust the font size of the title bars, since the sans 7 was a tad too small for my screen. I had set it to 10.

Nothing but praise otherwise. Makes a great theme for an Ubuntu desktop. - Mar 05 2008
SlideShow Screenlet

Ok, after installing Python Image the images show, however, they don't stay in the frame.

If the picture has a different size/aspect than the frame it just overlaps it. It would make more sense if it were to clip the picture, so nothing is displayed outside of the frame. Why otherwise use a frame in the first place?

Just some constructive comments for the developer... - Feb 26 2008
SlideShow Screenlet

After checking things a bit more, it turns out that it is loading the pictures, but just not displaying them in the frame.

If I select <Open Image> it does open one of the images in my pictures folder.

The odd thing is, in the frame itself it just gives me a black screen. What could be the reason it is not displaying the images in the frame, while it does seem to find them? - Feb 26 2008
SlideShow Screenlet

Looks like this is the kind of applet I was looking for, however in my case it's not working.

I'm running Ubuntu 7.10 in which case Screenlets is installed in /usr/share/screenlets instead of the path that the author indicates.
Probably this is the reason it's not working. Is there a way to fix this? - Feb 26 2008

GTK2 Themes by lyrae 16 comments

Ok, fixed the bars (still new to this Linux stuff), but can't for the life of me figure out how to install windows or mac icons in Linux.

Anyone want to give me some advice on that please.

Really love this theme, it's awesome. - Feb 17 2008

Great theme. I'm a bit new to this so I'd love some more explanation on how to install it all.

The theme is no problem, but how in the world do I install the icons?

Also, any chance you can do a Compiz theme? Now I find my windows borders without your theme :P

Great job though, really. Good to see something refreshingly new.

I'd like to know this too. Also in my case the trash icon doesn't change. - Feb 02 2007
