I like the idea, but there is one thing that I have been thinking of for quite some time now. How come all music players for Linux become more and more cluttered? Like placing as much items/options/choises/images in one and same screen. All players seem to run further away from the usability that a normal "non-geek" person understands how to use.

I have no problem with this, as I have become used to this kind of players, but I do know that any time some non-linux user (parents, friends) see me use a player with tons of stuff squezed into it they usually ask "How can you use that crap? Thank god for winamp". Maybe there is a point in it? - Mar 16 2009

Maybe someone who does not care if its free stuff or a marketing tool, but actually only care if it looks good and is usable?
Just because one uses linux does not mean he/she must automatically be anti everything else.

Nice work. I personally do not like the colours steam use, but I reall like your idea of a theme :) - Nov 15 2006

since not everyone has their panel like an osx-bar but alot of people use it as default, from one side to the other, these rounded corners whould be useless and make it look really ugly. - Apr 16 2005

tried k3b yesterday in kubuntu and I must say its the best cd-burning application I have seen for ages. This is exactly what I have been looking for in linux, a cd-burning application that can do everything and in an easy way.

keep up the good work. linux needs this kind of apps - Mar 26 2005
Have you people ever thought that it might be hardware problems? or maybe even old libraries? Im using this on 4 different machines, all have different hardware and distros, and guess what, it works.

to talk about the first comment of this project, the hmmm comment.
How could karamba make windows people switch from windows to linux cuz of a osxbar like thing when there allready is a 100% well done such bar for objectbar?

I noticed all ppl complaining about tux being slow uses amd Athlon, so I installed it on my friends computer and it was really, really slow. So either it has to do with your athlon, OR you use latest NVIDIA drivers for your cards, cuz those made both gnome2 and kde3.1 slow for me, then ppl in #slackware on freenode told me to use the previous version (download at nvidia site) and it worked great. everything is fast. So, there u have 2 possible problems, AMD or NVIDIA - Apr 20 2003
sorry for my spamming, need to remember to put all replies in 1 and same submission, but I noticed someone with AMD athlon 2000+ said he got 100% cpu usage, well, I use Intel Celleron, maby thats why my 600Mhz don't die when running the bar - Apr 20 2003
Sorry, forgot to answer your question, I use your "smooth" version wich really is smooth on my computer - Apr 20 2003
my first reply didnt show up, hope this one does. If I move my mouse over the bar it works perfect without any "lag" and my cpu goes to 40%, only when I start moving my mouse like a maniac in 100km/h it goes up to 100%.

btw, great work, I really love this bar
keep up the good work

Request: maby a systray? :) - Apr 20 2003
I am using the "smooth" version, and yes it is not slow, it doesn't "lag" from pic to pic, it switches smoothly, and my cpu when scrolling the icons in this bar (and having 5 more karamba themes running) went only to 40% (up to 100% if I started to move my mouse cursor over the icons in 100 km/h but not with normal use)
And I did not do anything special, so great work, I really love tuxbar - Apr 20 2003
I use it on a 600Mhz with 768 ram (pci100) and g-force2, not slow at all, so anyone who has this kind of computer or better can feel free to use it :) - Apr 20 2003

Very nice screenshot indeed, but its just not gnome. The day gnome would look like winxp running objectbar+desktopX+windowfx from stardok like you do in your winxp screenshot, that day I would defenitly switch back to gnome2, but for now I have to keep on dreaming. - Apr 09 2003

Why does 90 percent of all kde users here do nothing else but complain? and u who claim that kde don't need a xp theme what do you know? who are you to tell people what theme they need or not. there are people out there downloading this theme and liking it. so please grow up and do your own "better" theme.
must say this theme is great - Nov 28 2002
