Why don't you use KDE global settings for font size and type? It would fit the desktop MUCH better IMHO. - Aug 11 2010

That's possible since after erasing everything (sources and compilations), and recompiling from scratch, it worked again.

When trying to compile powerdevil, i'm having this error :

[ 88%] Building CXX object workspace/ksysguard/gui/CMakeFiles/kdeinit_ksysguard.dir/SensorDisplayLib/SensorLoggerDlg.o
/home/loacoon/Documents/Downloads/SVN/KDE4/KDE/kdebase/workspace/powerdevil/daemon/PowerDevilDaemon.cpp: In member function ‘void PowerDevilDaemon::restoreDefaultProfiles()’:
/home/loacoon/Documents/Downloads/SVN/KDE4/KDE/kdebase/workspace/powerdevil/daemon/PowerDevilDaemon.cpp:1295: error: ‘DATA_DIRECTORY’ was not declared in this scope

It's happening for a long time now so I'm reporting it. - Nov 04 2008

I have this error too :

CMake Error: The following variables are used in this project, but they are set to NOTFOUND.
Please set them or make sure they are set and tested correctly in the CMake files:
X11_Xscreensaver_LIB (ADVANCED)
linked by target "kded_powerdevil" in directory /home/loacoon/Documents/Downloads/SVN/KDE4/KDE/kdebase/workspace/powerdevil/daemon

But, xscreensaver IS installed. I'm using Gentoo 2008.0. The xscreensaver version is 5.07 from testing. - Sep 15 2008

Hello,

I can't compile the last bespin rev.

I used "locate" and the file wasn't found at all. There seems to be a problem with Debian's QT installation.

Anyways, until they repair it, the hack works, thanks for your help.

And, I forgot to say that your style is great, way better than Oxygen. - Jan 18 2008

Thanks for your answer. I sounds like the problem is this :

Quote:grep lXrender /usr/lib/libQtGui.la
grep: /usr/lib/libQtGui.la: Aucun fichier ou répertoire de ce type

libQtGui.la doesn't exist in my QT installation (Debian installation). I'll try your hack until they repair QT installation.

Thanks again. - Jan 17 2008

Yes they are installed, as well as X.org developement files and KDE4 files.
KDE4 is compiling without problems so I don't think it's a missing QT4 library. - Jan 15 2008

No, I had the message telling me to run make and make install. There is nothing unusual before the part I quoted. - Jan 15 2008

Complete Horizontal System Monitor

Karamba & Superkaramba by Loacoon 4 comments

Yes, I've just seen it. It looks good, really really complete ;).

I wanted to add graphical monitors too, but as you surely noticed, it's hard to monitor all the cards on the market, and the place is missing for multi-core CPUs monitoring.

But I like your modification. If people want to have a really complete monitor, including GPU, yours is a good option ;). - Jan 05 2008

Hmm, the first reason is of course that I use Thunderbird. ;)
The second is : Thunderbird is, I think, the most used.

Anyway, that's just a link to launch the app, there is no real dependency to Thunderbird. It can be used without. If you know how to do, you can even change the link, so kmail will be launched instead of Thunderbird (maybe I should add it to the readme?). - Dec 22 2007
