v.0.2.10 don't work in Mint 13 Mate.
There is no "libmate-panel-applet2-dev" package in Mint 13 so building from source does not work. - Jan 27 2013

When I try to upgrade from v.2.0 to 2.1 I get this message:

But synaptic shows this:

Nice icons, but I found next issue with Minitube 1.2 and Kadu 6.5.4
Like on the screens:

When I change the icon set to default in Ubuntu 10.04 is ok.
