one problem i am having is...

things like menus, when i open up kmenu

it looks great with the metal4kde theme ;)

BUT... when i go up and down the menu, the blue highlights stay... like when you move the mouse over, and it highlights, when you move it off, it stays high lighted... and when you go up and down the whole menu, it is blue. not metally.

i dont know if this is with kde, the theme or my settings, but i will play more and let you know what is going on. - Aug 15 2005
just fyi...

i downloaded the suse src rpm listed above, thanks for the link. i installed the source rpm, worked fine.

it installed the tar.gz...

then i just tar xvzf and then compile.

worked fine under fedora core 3 with kde 3.3

great looking skin, has some funnynesses here and there, but im not sure if thats the programs or the skin.

maybe i will try to make an rpm, never done it before, but who knows? - Aug 14 2005

and such? after the dcop section, it lists / /dev/ /proc/ /sys and such.

i removed them in the config but they always pop back up. anybody have a clue how to get rid of this?

overall the work is great. keep it up.

just need to figure out how to fine tune.

for those of you having troubles installing/getting it to run...

goto the homepage of the project and grab the latest source, and then compile

i used the fedora rpm but it didnt work after i installed it. but after the src it worked great. - Aug 14 2005

I am using superkaramba, and 1024x768

also i set the network monitor to my device of eth0, and it doesnt pick anything up either. - Aug 07 2005
I fixed the problem by installing xdialog.

now the problem is...

it comes out all over the place...

the hd/cpu/clock and such arent aligned right, they all come on top of each other in the upper left corner, on top of the kmenu as well.

i will try to play around with the .theme files and see if i cant get them configured right. i set everything right by moving them, but when i closed the theme and restarted it, it came up in the same spot. not sure if this is a bug or user error.

I had the original error posted from above, but I also get this error. AFTER I modded install-en script as noted above.

oh yeah, im using pyqt 3.13
fedora core 3 - Jul 24 2005

[can@localhost scripts]$ python

I am supposed to use python to execute a py script yes?

thanks a lot,

or it would probably just be easier to manually enter this in a file? - Jul 24 2005
