I don't know why people are voting this down, I rather like this look. Might be the wallpaper but still... it's nice too :) - Feb 21 2009

Nice work, I'm very partial to dark themes and have quite a few but this is one of the nicer ones, thanks! BTW, I've seen that wallpaper before but for some reason didn't grab it at the time... now I can't recall where it was, could you post a link to where it is so it can be downloaded? Thanks again :) - Jan 01 2009

Your wallpaper is nice but why does it have to be an "Ubuntu Download"?? It has *nothing* to do with that distro at all and I think THAT is the reason it's being voted down... you should think about changing that if you want it to be voted UP instead.

just a friendly suggestion ;)

I've been just using the evolution icon but IIRC there was/is something in the *huge* buuf set that could be combined (super-imposed?) on the envelope icon... just a suggestion ;-) And thanks for considering it :D - Nov 28 2008

Is your NT Studios 'license' GPL or CC-by-SA compatible? ...and where's the download link? How about a link to your BlogSpot page while we're at it? To be truthful, I'm more concerned about that license. - Nov 27 2008

I've built a .deb for Ubuntu 8.10 + Updates + Back-Ports but was unable to clearsign, could you help me with that? - Nov 12 2008
I'm running Ubuntu 8.10, needed to add a few apps mostly deskbar-applet and friends. It also doesn't seem to like being used in a top panel, works like a charm in a bottom panel though. How does a person change the theme? Can't figure that one out :) - Nov 12 2008

I've been using your gtk2 themes for a while now. Glad to see you've made a metacity theme to go with them. Any chance of an Xfwm4 theme in the future? Also, the wallpaper you're using in the deviantart screenshot looks rather nice, do you have a link for that?

Conky Box

Conky by lyrae 13 comments

Hi Lyrae,
More quality stuff from the desk of Lyrae :-)
I'm a bit confused (as usual;) about the weather portion of this config., do I really need to put my location code in both scripts? If so, where exactly do I put it in the script? I see the line that begins "self.parser.add_option..." has, in part, a section that looks like this "default="$LOCATION". Do I replace the $LOCATION bit with my location code ie: default="CAXX0054" or does it go somewhere else?
My second question concerns metric vs imperial; do I need to specify one or the other and if so where?
It's obvious from my questions that I have yet to try this out but "curious minds" and all that...

Thanks in advance!

Hi, just to let you know, there is a kore and a kore-black gtk2 + metacity theme set out there. I don't recall if I saw it on gnome-look or gnome-art but it IS out there 'cause I'm using it right now in Gnome along with the Kore-glass emerald theme. It's a beaut :) - Apr 18 2008

Hi I do like your artistic abilities, or at least this and the other theme you just posted ;-)
I had a good look at the "big" conky in your second screenshot and decided I'd like to get it... but the link seems to be a dud, or at least it has been for the last half hour or so. Do you have a direct link for it or could you try uploading it again? Thx!

I'm enjoying this easy-on-the-eyes theme very much. I've been playing with shades of gray and khaki for a few weeks now myself but hadn't ventured quite as dark as this however now that I see it I like it :)

I haven't figured out which icon theme you have in use yet, care to share the name?
Also I quite like the B&W snapshots you're employing in your screen-shots of this and your PekWM theme of the same name perchance are they available for private use?

Thanx! - Jan 05 2008

Hi! I really like the look of this theme and I'd *love* to download it but it seems to be impossible unless I can speak/read the Russian language. What I'm getting at is that the site is totally unreadable to me and where to "click to download" is not very obvious. Is there another location where I can get this theme??

OK, I'm not real fond of brown themes but this one is different. I like what you've done with the title bar, it sets this theme apart from all the other brown themes out there and I think I could live with this one. You should try and find a GTK2 theme to go along with this one. If you can't find one that uses the same colours as your theme then perhaps you could modify one so it does match? Just a suggestion.

Anyway, nice work! Thanks for sharing it :) - Aug 30 2007

Hello, I'm really liking this theme, thanks for posting it here. I am interested in a few things seen in your screen-shot; firstly, the wallpaper. Where can I get this? Secondly, your icons. Which icon theme(s) are you using and where can I find them?
The last thing has to so with your menu. In the screen-shot I can see what I think (I don't speak or read Italian so...) are entries to shutdown, reboot and the one with the X (quit the gui?). Why don't you use the supplied entries for those in the exit sub-menu? Just curious about that...

Thanks again! - Aug 30 2007
