With Kubuntu 4.4 works very well.
MUst be recompiled if it is an updated from KDE 4.3 - Feb 11 2010
not only when waking up
I had this bug one time on a new session - Oct 18 2009
On my machine:
gcc 4.3.3 for ubuntu 9.04 - Oct 13 2009

I have an error while compiling this last version (and not the previous ones)
it is during the make:

I don't know if it is only me or general... - Oct 13 2009
Yeah I had the same problem with KDE 4.3.0 - Sep 10 2009
Mmmh, for me they are always the same with compositing. I was surprised first time I disabled compositing

For info my config is
Jaunty 64 bits + KDE 4.3.1
ATI card with proprietary drivers

Am I the only one having this problem ? - Sep 10 2009
For the misplaced tooltips : No I got it more than once per session.

For the compositing/not compositing : Your right it is the same shape, that was not what I meant
It is a difference of frame rendered as you say (sorry my english sometimes miss some specialized words). And with compositing enabled I don't have that frame rendered difference. Both minimized and visible tasks appear like visible tasks.
I hope you see what I'm "complaining about" now. I'm not at home now but I can make a snapshot later (basically the rectangle around amarok would be the same than the rectangles around the other tasks even if amarok is reduced, no frame rendered difference)
- Sep 10 2009
I'm not sure I was clear.
Reduced windows appear like this,b969861b6daf2604a6d0a516cc1098be.png.html
amarok is here reduced, with compositing disabled
With compisiting enabled they all appear the same way. Both are with rectangles and I found first behavior better.

For the second part, it is with the last version or the two last versions only, it is quite new. - Sep 10 2009
A small thing I observed
With compositing disabled, reduced windows' tasks appeared in a very light rectangle (far less visible than rectangle around not reduced windows)
With compositing enabled this rectangle is the same for reduced and not reduced tasks.
Is it a bug or a feature ? I do prefer the first behaviour, should/could it be the same with compositing ?

And something else, I sometime saw the tool tip appears below my mouse position when I hover a task, and as my panel is a the bottom of my screen it is almost off the screen. Moving the mouse out and on the task again make it takes the good position. It seems to be be randomly... I didn't find anything special that could be the cause yet.

Thanks - Sep 09 2009
I tried to reproduced the bug today with the latest version, impossible!
Last time was with a mid last week version.
The protocol to reproduce the bug was:
Activate "expand tasks" for current desktop windows
Open a sub-window, for exemple firefox download window (it worked every time)
And then Plasma crashes - Aug 24 2009
Thanks a lot for your work !! It is really very good an useful
But there is a bug for me, the "Expand Tasks" options is very often crashing plasma, and so is not useable

And I would like to recommend a new feature, it is to have something more visual for windows requiring attention (like kopete conversations), maybe with another colour flashing (like orange…) because I often miss windows asking for attention.
