Weather Screenlet

OK, I found out a way to get the weather for Canada. So, it might work for your country even if not in the above list.

Just try this: go to: www.weather.com. Type down your city and country name in the search bar. Click on whatever suggested area that corresponds to what you're looking for. Then, once your on your city page, you will find the equivalent to your city zip code in the address bar.

In the case of Toronto, the address bar shows: http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/businesstraveler/local/CAXX0504?from=enhsearch_loc

The equivalent of the zip code is CAXX0504. Copy it and enter it as zip code. VoilĂ ! - Mar 06 2009

Thanks a lot for the nice work. This desklet works great.

For info, the weather comes from http://weather.com. So if you're not living in one of the following countries : Brazil, France, Germany, Latin America (continent), UK & Ireland, India or USA, you won't access your own weather. - Mar 05 2009
TimerScreenlet

Nice script. Works well for me (Ubuntu 8.10).

Maybe some suggestions for a future development:

- to add a bell that we could set to sound at a preset time. It would allow the timer to be used as a cooking timer, per example, or as a timer for games, etc.

- a pause button could also be useful, per example, to time tasks

Only suggestions, anyway.

Good work

Nautilus Scripts by 00061205 8 comments

What I meant was that, if the file's title has 2 words, like in the example, "New File", instead of creating only one shortcut named "New File", it creates 2 shortcuts, one with each word. If the Title has 3 words it will create 3 shortcuts, ad so on. And none of these shortcuts will work.

The example here shows the original file ("New File") and the 2 sortcuts created.

Hi,
I am using Ubuntu (Gutsy). The script creates as many shortcut as there are words in the file title. I modified it to aim at my desktop (actually only changed the d to D).

Is there any workaround for this problem?
