Task icon is really great to use.
But a thing missing is the inability to adjust the delay before the image appears, and time after which the image disappears when the mouse is over the icons.
If this could be configurable, it would be really great.
Thank you to tell me if you can make these adjustments. - Jun 15 2012

This application has become indispensable to me, especially since you can open documents with the application that you want and not just with the default application.
This application is really missing in kde.
Nevertheless, the ideal would be that only recent documents appear, and only those documents, not folders.
Is there a possibility to display only the documents without folders?
The ideal would be to have this option in the Control Panel: "show folders".
On behalf of the documents posted, I find that to specify the full address is too long, too long really. As an icon, it makes far too many lines in the icon and it becomes very difficult to know the exact name of the document.
I preferred the first version where only the name of the document appeared.
Ideally, the full address appears only if there are documents that have the same name.
It would be much more convenient and much simpler.
Thank you very much for this application and thank you for responding to whether these proposals are feasible and possibly how to make them.

In early versions, we could remove the clock display to have the calendar when the cursor mouse passed over the plasmoid.
This option was later removed.
Is there a possibility to set this option to delete the clock when the cursor mouse passed over the plasmoid ?
Thank you very much. - Oct 12 2011

So I decided to install kgtk via launchpad, but the result is always the same: kgtk does not work with kde4, at least for me. I think there is a communication problem with kdialog as kdialogd4 spits since its inception.
I tried reinstalling linux completely, but without effect.
I think it would be sufficient to some changes in kgtk so that it works properly, but unfortunately nobody has been able to bring me a solution. - Aug 08 2009

More specifically, is that kdialogd4 plant each time. This is what KDialog Daemon says:
Application: KDialog Daemon (kdialogd4), signal: Segmentation fault
[KCrash Handler]

#7 0xb6694b8d in ?? () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6
#8 0xb66969c5 in malloc () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6

#12 0xb681c0a2 in std::basic_filebuf::open () from /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6

However, sometimes, but it's very rare that kgtk works, and there is happiness.
That is unfortunate, because I'm computer trainer in my company and I wish I could convince my colleagues to switch to linux, specifically on kde4. Unfortunately, once they see the dialog box instead of gtk kde4, they tell me that linux is not yet mature, because the dialog boxes are not the same as logiciles used.
It is a pity, because it's really the only thing which put off a lot, and I understand.
Thank you in advance for your help so that I can really make the promotion of linux (especially KDE) with a single dialog box regardless of the applications. - Aug 02 2009

I'm trying desperately to compile kgtk to install, but I can not.
I tried to do what is in the "readme", but without result.
Could you tell me the exact lines and actions that you have done to compile and install kgtk.
I'm on Linux only recently.
What distribution and what version you?
I'm on Kubuntu jaunty.
Thank you for your help because I feel like you kgtk fantastic if it can be installed. - May 21 2009
