I've changed mine to

To take out "Now Loading" and just leave LINUX on that line. Reason, because when shutting down the text is wrong. - Jul 23 2008

When I followed the instruction it worked ok except when say running Synaptic it would revert to default mouse pointers. So I copied just the silver folder into /usr/share/icons and hey presto all works and the full 3d effects work.

Do I still need the folder in my home directory? - Aug 24 2007
