I think you have created a great theme and I specially like this new idea behind infocus tabs.

What I don't like about the theme however is the small Icons in the menu. It would be great if you provided the normal-sized icon variant.

Great work! - Dec 27 2007

Discovery Icon Theme

I forgot to mention that I find one of the main strengths of these icons is that they define the icon boundaries correctly through a darker more pronounced border separation.

There are many icon themes that neglect this idea and the icons gets lost in the GTK color as the icon boundaries are fuzzy to the eye (specially smaller icons) - Nov 18 2007

Once these icons mature they should be considered for inclusion in ubuntu as an alternate by default.

I have a personal request for one icon: could you please update the Bookmarks icon? It's the icon under Places menu in GNOME. When you have many places bookmarked that they wont fit in the menu, this icon shows as a submenu to places so you can navigage your bookmarks.

P.S. Accessories and Help icon are identical in .2 release - Nov 18 2007

Hi, it's year 2007 .. many people have 24"+ monitors .. My native resolution is 1920x1200 ... I cry everytime I get 4:3 wallpapers that stretch and look bad :( .. thanks! - Sep 27 2007

You're right. The icons are not vanilla tango, they're from the tango generator script on gnome-look that adds a bunch of extra icons and I cutomized it a bit. - Sep 18 2007

For 3 years I used the original Grounation as I thought it was the most amazing theme ever but it was missing a few critical cursors and I really disliked that.

Now this version is beautiful. and you said it.. Best xkill cursor Ev4r

First UbuntuDick now this??? what is wrong with you man. I'm all for expressing artistic freedom ... but male genitalia is just not beautiful... but it's possible that you're trying to cater to a minority crowd who would like this.

Again.. there is GOOD naked and BAD naked. And there are only a few men who can pull off frontal nudity in an asthetic form (statue of david for example).

Two bugs I've noticed with the latest release:

- The "Lock" Icon in the status bar of Epiphany browser for visiting secure websites draws "Huge" like 36x36 or 48x48 and the status bar becomes gigantic.

- The "Danger Sign" which is the orange triangle with exclamation mark does not scale properly in the Delete or Save Dialog box (seems like the 16x16 version is being blown up to 32x32 and looks horribly pixelated)

Other than that, great job! Great utility - Apr 08 2007

Black

GTK2 Themes by twigsby 74 comments

1 - In Evolution, the default "category button" on the left side is highlighted Black with Black text which is hard to read.

2 - In firefox, when an Item in the "Bookmark Toolbar" is clicked, if the item has a drop down list (such as a RSS feed, or Folder with subitems) the Parent Becomes Highlighted in Black with Black text. Again, not really readable.

I would like to comment a few more things:

http://elysium.dnsalias.net/web/nautilus.png

- The navigation icons in nautilus appear as low quality images and a little washed out

- The unclickable buttons (circled in the picture above) don't have the same soft and smooth look that seems to be part of the themes personality (gray dots look ugly), but that's just my personal impression.

- The path buttons in nautilus (circled below the navigation button in the image above) Does NOT show a clear indication of which button is selected. If you look carefuly you will see that the selected button is darker gray and not glossy but has bold font, the unselected button has a glossy skin but the font is not bold. The visual cues seem to be contradicting each other regarding which button is really selected - Sep 21 2005

This Theme is incredible. I have been looking for a theme that would top the clearlooks-graphite and this IS IT (sorry lockheed ;) ).

Attention to detail, soft transitions and borders, gnome-panel, drop down boxes, and overall feel is breathtaking.

Incredible work and keep developing this! Although the current color theme is almost perfect in every way and easy on the eyes I can't imagine what other color variations you coculd come up with. It would be hard to improve upon perfection... - Sep 21 2005

Hi, wonderful theme! Tool-Tip colors however are almost identical to the gnome-panel color and they almost get lost (the borders don't seem well defined). I would suggest either making the tooltip darker or adding some kind of faint border to separate it from the background widgets - Sep 20 2005

the new volume applet makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! thanks!

Future OS configurations strive to be Resolution indepedent and the icon backend will make this possible using SVG icons. With the non svg neuvo I am forced to run gnome-panel at standard pixel width so the icons won't look blurry.

I perfectly understand you might not want the SVG out there.. do you see another solution to this dilemma? - Aug 13 2005

I thought the old trash Icon rocked (maybe a little Less transparent).

The good thing was that when trash was empty it was very unnoticable on the desktop which I thought was a great idea. Afterall you would only mess with the trash icon when there is something inside. - Aug 07 2005

I actually tried it this time instead of rating it by the screenshot and I am impressed. Not only did you put the effort to actually release a more or less complete theme (unlike all those half baked sets out there) it actually looks pretty good :)! (I like the network applet icon better than default gnome one).

Suggestions:

The Lock screen Icon is the same color shape as the logout (both red and circular). Could you somehow make them more distinct?

Request: Could you different colors for folders ?? I really like the use of blue in the theme but I was hoping I could use a different folder icon than yellow! :) - Aug 06 2005
