I had this problem too. What I did was install through the PPA like he showed, then open a terminal and do "sudo apt-get install dockbarx".

After it installs, type "sudo killall gnome-panel" to refresh the panel and try loading adding it again. Worked for me. - Jan 06 2010

I installed the newest version of AWN through the PPA, which I now realized was a bad decision. But otherwise I don't know how to get panel mode or anything. What should I do? - Jan 06 2010

This is very nicely done. I like it much more than the regular dust.

However, my panel is just solid dark grey, unlike your panel that has the Human streak in it. How can I get that? - Dec 15 2009

Yes, you want to extract the folder with your icons in the .icons folder. Then, in your Ubuntu menu, go to System>Preferences>Appearance , and click "customize" (a button on the bottom-ish). Click on the "icons" tabs and click on your new icons. - Dec 04 2009

My absolute favorite icon theme of all time. Does anyone know why my small icons blur though? I'm sure it has something to do with the theme referencing to the wrong size png, but it ruins the whole theme :( - Nov 15 2009
