It is maybe because you dont have the last murrine engine. You may use the .deb perfectska04 compiled.

It is on this page: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Shiki-Colors?content=86717 - Oct 25 2008

Ah, thanks for telling me! and yep, it is this simple.
Declare a new style only for the clock applet, and then apply it to it by doing this:

style "panel-clock"
{
xthickness = 0
ythickness = 0
#You can change color also for example:
#fg[NORMAL] = "#666666"
}
#Apply to the clock only:
widget "*.clock-applet-button.*" style "panel-clock"

Sorry for the first answer if it confused you. - Oct 18 2008

Yep, i reworked this theme and also the emerald one to fit better on this. Remember fonts pack can be browsed on my other theme... ColorBit 2. It is a pack with an installer script.
Gracias! - Oct 18 2008

As fas as i know it is part of the murrine engine applied to the panel.rc file. So in other themes, in the definition of the panel just declare the engine "murrine" {} part. Try it and tell me ;) - Oct 18 2008

HI! first of all! Excelent theme! I love it since i saw it.
Now my petition, i'm a lover of clear themes with dark panels, and i loved also a hybrid theme named Shiki Colors. So i tried to mix this with that and i got good results, but not excelent as yours.

So if you could make a version of this theme with dark touches, would be gr8!

If you want to see my result, see it here: http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/563/pantallazoes1.png ... Help me please! :D - Oct 04 2008

I really want to make your life easier, and as i know how difficult would be if you try to get those fonts, i package them with an install script.

So all you have to do is to download this file:
http://rapidshare.com/files/133196972/Fuentes.tar.gz

Extract it wherever you want and double click the "instalar.sh" file, when the pop up appears, click the "run ond console" or equivalent ... and, you are ready to use them. :P

If you have questions about above instructions just ask me. - Jul 28 2008

I was on my friend's ugly computer so i didnt saw, but i think they are Candara or Dax fonts.
You can prove Dax fonts from here:

If i see him i'll ask for the fonts and tell you.

I am creating a personal gtk theme based on this theme, and it looks almost perfect, except from one thing, and i saw this "bug" on your original theme, so this is not happening because i edited the gtk.rc file.

Here is the SS with the bug on show:
http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/4466/pantallazocf8.png

It looks black when you create a link to some element on the desktop.
I could be great if you can look at it, as im some kind of new at this things. Thanks! - May 24 2008

That was exactly what i meant to say, i remember i saw a tutorial where the author combined 2 engines, so that was what i wanted to do. I am doing over this theme because i prefer murrine, and i want to do a mix.
Thanks for your help friend!
I will prove it. - May 22 2008

GTK2 Themes by perfectska04 97 comments

Hi, this is a very great theme, i love it to much, but i would like to know what do i need to add to the gtkrc file so that i can make the panel on windows looks like the clearlooks themes. I mean, i want the murrine theme to have like 3D interface, but it looks flat. Look at it:
