So? It's a nice wallpaper showing his great KDE Conference logo proposal. It doens't count how much time has been spent on it.

You know, some people tend to prefer simple and staight things to bloated ones. - Jan 23 2004

This is brilliant! I like this wallpaper, even if it's a bit bright for my standards. The only thing I'd change is the bottom-right spot, it feels a bit 'unnatural' compared to the others. - Oct 15 2003

I was the author of the 1st version of KAlloy. As you can read in the docs, I received explicit permission from Incors GmbH for kde/qt and gtk version of the Alloy Look And feel. (See also http://www.varlock.com/projects/kalloy.html )
If I remember well at the time they also planned to mention KAlloy in their customer's newsletter).

Of course there *could* still be legal issues around the name itself, as you pointed out. I suggest the current mantainer to
try to contact Incors for issues around the name, and see if they can provide a signed message or something similar to be included in future versions of the package. Just to be sure. - Jul 17 2003

I suggest all present and future developers to have a look to some Alloy-enabled Java application, just to taste "the real thing".
A good one is Poseidon for UML (the community edition is free) at http://www.gentleware.de/
Of course another option is to play with the Alloy trial from Incors combined with your favourite Java applications.

I don't find anything offending with this picture. If it makes you feel well, just download the image and delete it from your hd. This way you can enjoy the power of censorship. - Aug 11 2002
