The only complain i have is that it's hard to understand how the primary and secondary language settings are working.
I think it should be self explanatory to a point where a short help text in the GUI is enough to understand it. When you install it via a package manager you have no readme file.
Suggestion:
Rename "Translator Config" to "Source language settings".
Call it "Default" and "Alternative"
If qt allows it. Add a hint somewhere that explains what each does.
1. "Default - Defines the default source language so you can translate a string with providing the target language only. (EXAMPLE)"
2. "Alternative - Will be used when the target language is the same as the default language."
Not perfect by any means but maybe it helps somehow. Just a quick idea. - Mar 03 2016

Works good, thx for that.
One suggestion: Would be awesome if you could add the possibility to set a default source language.
Example:
1. Set source langage to "de"
2. search like this: en DeWord (en is the target language)
3. Result: DeWord in English
This would make the translation shorter again (As it was with googles auto language detection).

Two suggestions:
1. Please make it so, that settings you choose will be saved for the next time you start the app (e.g the date).
2. Please make the columns sortable to be able to have the last updated package at first.

Beside the greate features i would like to suggest something.
From an usability point of view it would be best to integrate the tray functionality in icontasks as well. Let me explain that a bit further.
1. When a program is not launched, i have a launcher icon without any indicator.
2. When i click that launcher, the proram starts and i get two indicators. One that shows me the program is running and the second one that it is selected.
Thats all nice so far but now comes the thing a lot of desktop environments did not manage to make as simple as i would expect it.
3. You can minimize the program (by clicking the minimize button or the launcher icon), which works like expected.
4. You can close a program which also works like expected.
5. When you close an app, that has tray functionality like clementine or amarok, the whole icontask concept gets destroyed. The launcher shows the program as closed but it is not, it is shown in the tray area. To keep the icontasks paradigm, i would expect that the program keeps running in the background but the launcher shows me that. It should look exactly like a minimized application because it is nearly the same. Only from a technical point of view it is something different but this should be hidden for users.
All in all, this would make the whole experience much more consistent if you ask me. I know that there are probably technical limitations with the current tray implementation but i think in the long run icontasks should provide such a functionality.
I hope you get what i mean, my english could be better i think. :)
I would like to hear what you think about my ideas.

great work but you should talk to the KFaenza Creator (Maintainer) to merge your icons into the main package. I think that would be a better solution then maintaining two packages side by side.

I think this is not a good choice, cause it is the wrong place to trigger a global search in an external program.
"Could be appended. As of now, this final item would appear first. Clicking that could default to one of the new methods."
Appended to the result list as the first item or as a menu entry to each of the result items?
If the former, that is exactly what i tried to suggest. :) Of course this should be optional, so that each user can decide if he needs this extra item.
Nice to see you working on this, i'm curious to test this. ;) - Oct 19 2011

Calling dolphin like mentioned above is like calling the recoll gui. The kio works like a recoll search and lists all results in dolphin, no matter where they are. So, by adding a dummy entry as the first list element, you could trigger a new search with the same search terms but in dolphin.
Hopefully i made it more clear, what i'm talking about this time.
P.S.: An other possibility would be calling the recoll GUI directly, as you mentioned. I would like this too, maybe we could get an option in the recollrunner settings tab? :) - Oct 18 2011

This way you could simply press enter to have the effect i described above.
What do you think? Is something like that possible? - Oct 18 2011

at first, thx for this great runner, its the only one i'm using beside the app starter. :)
There is only on thing that bothers me. When i search for something, normally i get a long list of files which i can choose from. It would be so great if hitting enter, after you typed a word (and search results are shown) dolphin would be opened with the search results listed.
Currently, hitting enter it opens the first search result.
I'm using the dolphin recoll kio so my idea should be possible if it is possible to trigger dolphin from withing krunner.

The only way to get a accurate tag count is scanning the files from time to time and update the tag counter. Maybe i will add something like that (completely optional of course) in the future after more testing.
Anyway, its on my todo list now, the for your suggestion. - Oct 11 2011

i will add the "quit by hitting ESC" in the next version, sounds useful to me.
I thought about making the tag indicators to an user-configurable character before. I finally decided to not making it configurable, because it would cause to much trouble when a user changes the symbol later, when he already made tags based on an other symbol.
It would be possible to even handle this case but i think it is much more consistent to keep the symbol.
The main goal of simpleTAgger is that you still can use your prefered search tools. Thats one of the most important part of the tool to me personally. I love using recoll, with the kde kio, in dolphin. Its much better then for example nepomuks dolphin integration.
btw, thx for your suggestion, please keep them coming. - Oct 10 2011

thx for trying simpleTagger but i have to admit that i don't know if simpleTagger works on windows, i never tried that.
Sadly i have no windows installation to test with.
But in general, after compiling, the final binary should be in the build directory. (At least thats the case in linux).

Any plans to add extension support? I think nowadays a web-browser needs this and it should be a standard feature.
Would be cool to be able to use Firefox and/or Chromium Extension. Beside the general usefulness of extensions in a browser, this feature would really add a lot of popularity to your browser because no other browser has Firefox/Chromium extension support so far. - Oct 04 2011

Anyway, a suggestion. You should handle labels in the plasmoid a bit different to make it less painful adding a bunch of them. You could handle it like this:
Add the main account and add subaccount (lables) which inherit everything from the main account. So you could avoid that the user has to add his password and username again and again. Just a suggestion. :)
Ah and btw, keep updating this great piece of software. One of the best plasmoids out there. Great work. - Jul 29 2011

If the application you are using is not capable of using this new 2-step verification system, they provide an alternate method "one time passwords" for that application.
Normally the password is generated only once, you enter it in your application and it should work from then (like a normal password). However, your plasmoid keeps asking me for the password each start.
I'm using the fetching mechanism "KDE", the other one is not working for me.
Any idea whats going wrong here?
Thx - Jul 25 2011

i run into a strange problem lately.
The font color of gtk app popup menus is not the same as in qt popup menus.
The gtk app popupmenus are not readable anymore, cause the color is always black and thats not that great with dark backgrounds. ;)
Is this a bug or can i change the color separately? - Jan 15 2011
It seems t be a problem with small icons in general, i found several places with missing icons when the icons are too small. I never noticed this in your theme before. - Dec 29 2010
