It lags when it runs, or just compiling. I am not quite understanding you. I just don't understand how it is so slow when it runs. - Oct 19 2006

I have had no problem installing this and running it under Gentoo, however It is extremely slow, and I don't understand why. I am trying to run it on my notebook at 1400x1050 (default screen resolution) and it has the power to handle most things I throw at it. My laptop is a Thinkpad T60p, with a Core Duo 2500 processor, 1.5Gb of ddr2, and an ATI FireGL 5200. I am using the latest ATI drivers for my card, but this thing just crawls. Even if I run it at 800x600. Any ideas? - Oct 11 2006
