Very Socialistic (the symbolic star and red - ish colours 'n' all), a philosophy from which I build a lot of my own personal philosophy.

A brilliant image...having that in my ~/Wallpapers directory =) - Jun 12 2006
Communist Victory

GDM Themes by Potemkin 68 comments

For some reason, I've always been drawn to the Soviet ensignia. The Hammer and Sickle. It's such a descriptive icon.

I'll shortly be going back to gnome (as soon as 2.12 finishes compiling), and this will most likely be the GDM theme I choose to use.

And to comment on the above posts: Communism and Socialism are excellent ideologies. Unfortunately, they have a tendancy to be ruled by dictators. A dictatorship puts too much power into too few people, the result, viscious corruption. The communist and socialist ideals need to be ruled "by the people, for the people."

Communism is no better or worse than Democracy...they're just different. Although, communism is a social ideal and Democracy a state ideal. Tell me one country which has faithfully followed the idealogical rules of communism or democracy...none. But this is because of those countries leaders.

Again, great theme :) - Dec 03 2005

Either a fetishist with a penchant for the elderly, or someone who's just plain strange.

How could you now want to have this as your wallpaper? The smile on her face, that shows she's happy at the thought she's zooming across your monitor at 90mph.

Classic...simple but classic. - Dec 01 2005

How can this wallpaper NOT be appreciatiated? I love this thing. Now, I'm famous for my political incorrectness (well, not famous, but renowned for un-PC bad taste within my miniture circle of friends), so I can help but get the urge to switch that thing on and watch him roll into the water!

Why does everyone have to warp things into politics. This is imaging and artwork we're making here. Art is about invoking feelings into those who experience it. To me, it invokes sadistic fantasies of watching a sleeping old guy fall into the water at the hand of his own wheelchair, to some of you guys, it's making you angry. Art is NOT about looking at something and thinking "ooo that's pretty," it's about expression of emotion.

ulbe you're a genius. Wether you saw this guy and laughed until you composed yourself enough to take the picture, or felt sorry for the guy, you've succeeded in doing what art is supposed to do: make people feel.

Considering 'tis your first X11 cursor theme, 'tis purdy cool. A little on the chunky side though.

Good work - Oct 21 2005

The blue on the background is a transparency aswell, so you could add a gradient behind the svg to "liven it up" a bit :)

Thanks for the suggestion though, I'll see what I can do. - Mar 30 2005

I like what you've done here. The glass effect comes across very well. Nice use of the flame filter too ;) - Jan 29 2005
