I have a copy of the theme (although, even without peering into the archive, I'm guessing the theme is quite obsolete by now, and thus won't work well/at all with more recent builds of GNOME.
The link posted some time ago;
http://rs154.rapidshare.com/files/54189475/Aero-0.5.tar.gz
Still works.
If anyone has hosting, please feel free to send me/comment the URL, I'll be sure to update the "standard" link, so people don't have to wade through comments.
I hope to get back to working on this/themes again soon :) - Dec 09 2010

Posting unconstructive criticism of people's best efforts, rather than improving your own or moving on and continuing your search for artwork that suits your machine, seems to me like a complete and utter waste of time. - Mar 18 2008

But it is a shame that people have to use that kind of hosting.
Anyway, I've tossed up a copy on my server (author free to post it as mirror)

But I'm starting to wonder, with all these "Go Linux" promotions that, like this one, show off mainly various desktops that people have used - if it might not be a cool idea to make a similarly "crisp" (reflections, composition etc.) demonstration of the diversity of Linux, by showing off pimped KDE, GNOME, XFCE desktops, in a size that allows viewers to see the interface and determine whether they are impressed? I think some might be "impressed" if they, having been appropriately dissapointed by the dirty default theme in Ubuntu (no offense, since the user would have to be oblivious to themes), they might go "wow" at a pimped KDE desktop.
Just a thought, really.
Again; nice job. - Jul 19 2007

I understand what you are saying, and I partly agree that the arrangement of logos and such is better in Inspiration.
However, I maintain that showcasing the beauty of Linux "out of the box" is a far more interesting, apppealing and worth-while in respect to Microsoft's patent nonsense. This site is already stuffed with "look how *I* like my desktop to look!" shots. - Jun 23 2007

Searching for distribution-specific artwork should, for instance, be a possibility at this day and age.
Should a rework come, I just really hope it doesn't end up like Deviantart... Worst website navigation *ever*.

I've been googling, as one would, and found several references to the variable "GTK_MENUBAR_ACTIVE_OPACITY" for instance, but I have been entirely unable to get it to function, nor have I found it mentioned by anyone but the macmenu users/devs.

However, as I use a Mac (Tiger) on a daily basis, I quickly noticed that with this theme, as well as the original OSX-mod theme, the buttons are simply far too big. This turned my attention to the few and low-resolution screenshots I've seen of Leopard so far - It seems very little Aqua is being left in there. Apart from the scroll-bars, I've been unable to spot a single aqua element (buttons particularly) - although I haven't been hunting for them either. This made me think that perhaps you would like to collaborate or start on your own, as I have, on changing the button look to that of Tiger/iTunes, since it seems aqua buttons are out. It's merely a suggestion, and I will get on it myself.
In any case, good job - keep it up. - Jun 15 2007
