1. xfce4-indicator plugin: I don't see this dark outline, can you send me a screenshot?
2. Desktop icon: I don't know how to change that.
3. Window button on taskbar: I like it that way. If you like to change it, look for XfceTasklist::max-button-length - Aug 08 2016
