I tried a couple times to download the image, but all I get is some sort of error message: "Przykro nam, strona o podanym adresie nie istnieje." - Jan 26 2005

I'm glad you like it, but I can't take credit for the idea.. I've seen pictures before of the houses reflected in the canals. I've even seen a postcard or two. But I had my camera with me when I was passing by and the leaves caught my attention. I like how it almost looks like a breeze is blowing them away. - Dec 13 2004

The links are working fine for me, and my webserver logs show that this picture has been downloaded over 500 times. If you are still having problems, you can send me your IP address by private mail and I will check my logs for any sign of error messages for that address..

Thanks for the report - I'm not sure what happened to the 1900x1200 version. I've recreated the jpg and uploaded a new copy. - Oct 27 2004

Sure, I can add a 1600x1200 version. My camera takes 3:2 pictures, so the 1600x1200 is going to be cropped.. - Oct 26 2004

I used a Canon 10D digital-SLR camera with a 135mm f/2 lens. This was one of the first pictures I took with this lens, so I was playing with the look at wide-open aperature to get a very shallow depth of field.. The only area of sharp focus is in front of the center tree, focusing on the small flowers springing up.

As a background image, the tree on the left provides a nice place for the desktop icons to sit :-).

I'm glad you like it! - Oct 12 2004
