After compiling and installing, the "GTK Styles and Fonts" option appears twice in the Control Center menu list.

'make install' installs /usr/share/applications/kcmgtk-xdg.desktop and /usr/share/applnk/Settings/LookNFeel/kcmgtk.desktop, which are both shown in Control Center. Removing any which one of these solves the problem.

KDE 3.5 Themes by mart 395 comments

Polyester is my favorite style. It's very customizable, and looks good in almost any configuration. Naturally it can also get better. Here are some features I'd like to see before/in version 1.0:

- Option to enable/disable colored menu sort order button. At the moment it's painted with the Selected Background color. In my eyes, those buttons look ugly if they're colored, but also changing the Selected Background color makes other things look bad.
- Option to enable/disable colored horizontal line in selected tabbar item. I think one can see whether a tab is active or not clearly enough without any such coloring.

These are of course small details, but were they to be fixed my desktop experience would reach near perfection. :) - Jun 06 2006

No, I meant that I can't get kbfx to compile. I've tried with the newest version. But thanks anyway. :) - Mar 02 2006

This design is very much unlike the rest. A good candidate to replace the usual square buttons.

Please, upload other versions, too. I'd like to see this is color that suits a stylish black desktop.

Now, if I could only get the latest kbfx to compile... :) - Feb 26 2006

Thanks a lot. I added the spell, now SMGL users can install ksynaptics without a hassle.

This is a wonderful program, it restored missing "scroll pad" functionality to my laptop. keep up the good work! :) - Feb 06 2006

Also, I'd be glad to know the compile-time dependencies of both ksynaptics and libsynaptics. They use gpp, right? What else is needed? - Feb 05 2006

Can you tell me what the exact dependencies of Ksynaptics are? (I mean the actual source packages that it depends on.)
I guess kdelibs is one, but does Ksynaptics also require kdebase? And what about qt-x11?

I need this information because I'm writing a spell for Ksynaptics. Spells are Source Mage GNU/Linux's scripts that install and track packages. SMGL is a source-based Linux distro.

Thanks! - Feb 05 2006

Can you tell me what the exact dependencies of kdmtheme are? I mean, what source packages it would depend on, if the system was built on source packages. Also the header package names of Debian are OK too, I think I can figure them out.

The reason I'm asking is because I'm writing a spell for Source Mage GNU/Linux to install kdmtheme. - Jan 30 2006

KDM3 Themes by frikiorg 11 comments

There is a small, white square in the upper left corner of my login screen. It covers the day name and date, but not the month and time of day.

This isn't a bug in your kdm theme (which I have installed), but I thought maybe you or someone else would know what setting I should enable or disable (probably in kdmrc) to get rid of it.

Any ideas? - Dec 22 2005

I really like this windec, and have started using it myself. It's flat and minimalistic in a positive way. But of course I'm waiting for the second version, too. As some have already pointed out, the window borders could be narrower, but I'm not greatly troubled by them as they are now. What I'd really like to see, though, is KlearBox change color according to the active title bar color setting. Could this humble wish be fulfilled? - Nov 07 2005
