And it'd be a really nice bg for my desktop too, if it'd be larger (>= 1280x1024) and sharper. Sure your camera doesn't have a 'macro'-function? :)
Just a few points that would make a real difference in my opinion. - Aug 04 2007

But to make it even better, you might want to remove the text - making it even more minimalistic ;) Just my 2.5 cents. - Apr 25 2007

Not only the theme - but the great guide too!
A sub-section for how to patch gtk, or a more detailed installation guide for the macmenubar-applet would be a nice addition though. The guy who used to maintain the applet, doesn't anymore. That's why a how to about patching and compiling would be nice, someone else might take on the task of maintaining the package - if they just know how.
Thanks! Hyvää työtä! - Apr 18 2007

Now, Im a minimalistic person, I like minimalistic things. How would the theme look if the border width would be changed to 0~1px? Left-, right-, and bottom borders.. I you do this, you might have to make the top border/title bar a bit smaller too though. Ok, basically I like your theme but I'd like a new version of it :D
Thanks anyway ;) - Mar 24 2007

A few pointers though. Even though the buttons are meant to be round, a version with a bit more squared button's would be nice. Im not talking about the 'OK' and 'Cancel' buttons, Im talking about the buttons in nautilus for example.
And a question ; I can't get eg. the volume-applet to use the OS X icon. Instead I have the tango one there. What to do ? :)
Thanks for the effort! - Feb 20 2007
The buttons though, they kind of jump at you. Well me actually ;) If you could somehow make them look more integrated with the rest of the theme, then Im sure it'll look even better. The buttons are a bit 'sharp', if you at all know what I mean :)
Keep up the good work. - Feb 13 2007

.
splashimage=(hd0,0)/boot/grub/images/blu.xpm.gz
title Ubuntu, kernel 2.6.17-10-generic Default
root (hd0,0)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz root=UUID=942259b3-1020-49f1-9d43-91993f3b4a65 ro$
initrd /boot/initrd.img
savedefault
boot
This is a part of my /boot/grub/menu.lst. Now, you can probably use the root hd, (hd0,0) in my case, as this is where grub most probably is installed. If you have a separate /boot partition, then the root partition and the partition for the splashimage will be different.
Anyway, the simple explanation (IIRC):
the first digit represents the IDE/SATA-channel, and the second the partition. There's a simple command to do this too, just can't think of it right now Im afraid. - Jan 24 2007

Just a few criticisms though; first of all, Ill once again thank you for doing this, so you actually might read through the rest Im about to write. Okay, a few pointers, the active window is great, nothing wrong with it. But, the inactive one (Im not going to talk about the orange/red one, just the grayish one), lacks something.
Let's start with the color, it's gray, but not gray enough in my opinion, it would need a touch of white to become more transparent, not as dominant.
Now, why did you remove the nice squares from the inactive window border? They are in everyway the soul of this theme, and people (Im talking about myself :P) want to see them. Removing them makes the theme too plain to be honest.. Just a few pointers to make you think ;)
Thanks again for a great contribution! - Dec 30 2006

What if, you could make it more alive? :) Like add those squares to it in a nice way. I don't want it too be all squares and stars and explosions, something discreetly elegant, and at the same time very clear and usable.
Hope you got my point at least :)
Great theme overall, even if it's a windoze port. I still use this theme for my windows machine. I like it way better than the 'Luna' ugliness, if that's what it's called.. ;)
Thanks - Dec 30 2006

I say good job on the Oxygen engine, and a nice looking theme too. Im more of a mac guy myself, but Ill try this out. + for you, and - to everyone who are whining about vista themes. Im not a vista fan(atic) but let the community decide what to upload. - Nov 22 2006
