It has not been translated yet; in fact it can't even be translated as of now. I will add support in the next release, but even then support will be needed to translate it in ones preferred language. - Mar 15 2010
Nothing wrong with Phonon, it is extremely easy to use, but it only (*for now*) supports playback of tracks; and this is what I achieve/plan to achieve with GStreamer: Playback + Visualisations + Equalisers + Plans for more effects + Plans for transcoding - Nov 23 2009

Could you put this pacckage in to dependence in cmake?

Though this dependence is not for building, cmake module has no support for this.

Now some ideas, colud you add option "open file" "open directory" etc? and some more visualisations :)

Right click on playlist and select "Add Media..."; you can select file as well as folder.
Visualisation are directly provided by gstreamer. Make sure you have libvisual and libvisual-plugins installed for greater choice. - Sep 12 2009
You need at least
gstreamer-0_10
gstreamer-0_10-plugins-base
gstreamer-0_10-plugins-good
gstreamer-0_10-plugins-bad

... you must be missing last one (It it matters, it is needed because I'm using playbin2).

...and btw presently svn version is same as 0.2, I still have not committed any new code! - Sep 12 2009
Is following still being shown when app is started?
Quote:
sparklemedia(7117)/kdecore (trader) KServiceTypeTrader::defaultOffers: KServiceTypeTrader: serviceType "SparkleMedia/UserInterface/Plugin" not found

If yes, where did you installed it? If not, try selecting a plugin from system tray icon. - Sep 12 2009
It should work properly from second run onwards or in worst case you may have to logout-login to kde... the issue it seems is that kde is not detecting newly installed plugins, so I'll have to look for a way to make kde do that. - Sep 11 2009

Very nice widget. I was looking for this kind of weather only i.e. a small widget which shows *only* the basic information along with images. As far as i'm concerned this look should be the final (apart from small changes without complicating the things; like weather++ in superkaramba, ops, that was/is also a good widget but very big for my taste).

Just keep on the work...
and, btw thanks for making the widget ;) - Jul 12 2008

1. I wonder why! Can you add an option to darken it to your "to-do list"?

Thanks - Feb 28 2007
1) Colour of scroll bar (when selected background colour is applied) is too light (in comparison with progress bar/selected menu bar items). Can you make it darker i.e. make it compare well with progress bar colour?

2) Can you add another option which enabled colourisation of entire button on hover?

Thanks. - Feb 27 2007

I forgot that I'd changed my colour scheme to Keramik Emerald (M) to get whole theme matching (with compiz's colours), so screenshot #3 was wrongly taken.
I've now added Keramik Emerald (M) to the download (for those who like it) and also changed 1 or 2 settings in qt config file. - Jan 19 2007

Hi! Your style is awesome; I'm waiting very-very eagerly for the next version. Any hints regarding that? - Dec 06 2006
Can you please provide matching black KDE-colour scheme also? - Dec 06 2006
Oops, forget to mention that changeable colour/gradient for menu items (under mouse) is also missing. - Oct 08 2006
You currently have single gradient for buttons. How about using different gradients for normal buttons, buttons under mouse, and default buttons? Similar can be done to other widgets also. This would make this style even more customisable. What do you think? - Oct 08 2006
Thanks for making a very nice and refreshing style. I'm very eagerly waiting for coming releases.
BTW my X server have gone up to 2GB+ two times in two days since I'm using this style, is there any link? Also this styles seems to have problems with KDE-GTK theme engine. - Aug 06 2006

This is the first time I've fixed something in an app of somebody else as my own app take most of my time.
But it was your style which inspired me to contribute (and also that the fix was going to be relatively easy). So, keep on the GOOD work. - Mar 26 2006
I've fixed this.

(Please note that I've used version 0.8.5)

You may note that it is not only tracking == FALSE which is the cause of concern. Some sliders with tracking == TRUE also does not repaint correctly (could not found any reason), and to my surprise my own app has this behaviour!

But everything seems fine after above changes. Please test it. - Mar 25 2006
Explanation: slider->valueChanged() signal is emitted only when slider->tracking == TRUE; and it appears that many programmes have this set to FALSE, hence the slider is not updated while mouse button is pressed.

I have three rough ideas to achieve desired result; will reply soon if results are good. (Hint: Never looked into a KStyle code before) - Mar 20 2006
Oops, looks like you are wrong here. You are not corerctly hadling the case where slider->minValue() could be -ve. I've modified polyester.cpp as per folowing (which solves the problem): -

(output of diff against modified polyester.cpp)
1393c1393
< double coloredWidth = ((double)r.width()/(slider->maxValue()-slider->minValue())*(slider->value() + slider->minValue());
---

1400c1400
< double coloredHeight = ((double)r.height()/slider->maxValue()-slider->minValue())*(slider->value() + slider->minValue());
---
> double coloredHeight = ((double)r.height()/slider->maxValue())*slider->value(); - Mar 17 2006
This works for me. See my other post in the next message, may also help you. - Mar 04 2006
Works for me.
Though it seems like there is some problem in the way settings dialog tracks changes in settings. So after you have changed these settings as desired toggle option e.g. "Centred tabbars" and then click OK and subsequently "Apply" in the "Style page". - Mar 04 2006
Try out this colour scheme: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=35937

Looks good with "SUSE" Window Decoration which goes well with Polyester.

I think Polyester's Window Decoration should take some clues from SUSE's implementation. - Mar 03 2006
Hi
I've a problem with the SUSE RPM. Earlier i installed 0.7.0 then an option existed in style tab under Control Center but i could not use it, even the preview was not shown. Now, with 0.7.1 I even cann't see polyester in the list of installed styles. (I'm using KDE 3.5.0) - Feb 24 2006

How should your plugin be used? When I insert "NoatunNormalize" effect nothing usual happens and when I load your plugin it does not show any option.

I have found a problem with krisp. I am using kdm and for the options available for the widgets to be used for login dialog, there is no option for krisp, instead another option lipstic is listed, which works but not like krisp. - Feb 24 2005
