Ahhhh yes, a confusing problem with an embarasingly simple answer. You installed the archive that you downloaded rather than the archive the buildset created for you. Be sure you install the file called "OS-L.tar.bz2" and not the one you downloaded. - Oct 29 2004

Is there anyway to get the menus to have the brused metal background, there is a glitch it sseems using the gtk-qt engine which makes the menus in gtk2 apps have the brushed metal look (the window background i guess) and it looks fantastic, and I was wondering if you could make the menuss in KDE look like that.

has the sluggishness been fixed for the most part. I mean are people still experiancing it on a large basis.

I tried setting the specified compiler flags as you suggested, and while this did seem to create a slight improvement, it is still too slow to be used (particularly while an icon should be bouncing). My hardware isn't by any means weak (P4 2.1Ghz 640MB RAM and a GeForce4) but I still cannot get performance that would make this useable. If i am the only one still experiancing, I am willing to help you debug in any way I can, if not, I will continue to build every release hoping for improvment.

Thank You for your hard work and your fantastic application.
