Metacity Themes by Nim 3 comments

1. Could you please add a metacity-theme2.xml, this enables the stick, shade and above buttons (the crux theme shipped with mcity, ships that file.

2. Could you add a version with buttons optimized for beeing placed on the right?

This is the best MCity theme I saw ever. And can get even better. - Feb 13 2008

I belive Fedora uses the ConsoleHelper. eg. /usr/bin/system-config-printer is a link to /usr/sbin/system-config-printer and that caused that dialog box to appear ... but I'm not sure. - Nov 29 2007

change the line:

fg[NORMAL] = "#ffffff"

to:

fg[NORMAL] = "#000000"

This will fix the font-color problem in the Treeviews, alternatively, change this option inside the options for the TreewView Class. - Nov 02 2007

The Mkmd5 script creates md5sums, the Chkmd5 script checks, them. You have to click on the md5sum file to check it, not the original one ... and it must have the ".md5" suffix. - Oct 11 2007

Splashy is used to draw Bootsplashes, Ubuntu has USplash instead.

If you have Ubuntu with Splashy, why don't you grab the tarball and install manually instead? - Oct 10 2007

that's because kdm and gdm work different.

kdm uses:

<item type="rect">
<normal color="#ffff00" alpha="0.0"/>
<pos anchor="w" x="150" y="50%" width="90" height="160"/>

<!-- username-label -->
<item type="label">
<pos anchor="ne" x="90%" y="35%"/>
<normal color="#ffffff" font="Sans 11"/>
<stock type="username-label"/>
</item>

<!-- password-label -->
<item type="label">
<pos anchor="ne" x="90%" y="55%"/>
<normal color="#ffffff" font="Sans 11"/>
<stock type="password-label"/>
</item>
</item>

<item type="rect">
<normal color="#00ffff" alpha="0.0"/>
<pos anchor="w" x="240" y="50%" width="170" height="160"/>

<!-- username-entry -->
<item type="entry" id="user-entry">
<pos anchor="n" x="45%" y="35%" height="24" width="150"/>
</item>

<!-- password-entry -->
<item type="entry" id="pw-entry">
<pos anchor="n" x="45%" y="55%" height="24" width="150"/>
</item>
</item>

gdm uses:

<!-- username/password label & entry container -->
<item type="rect">
<pos anchor="n" x="50%" y="325" height="box" width="box"/>
<box orientation="horizontal" spacing="10" expand="true">

<!-- username/password label -->
<item type="label" id="pam-prompt">

<normal color="#ffffff" font="Sans Bold 11"/>

</item>

<!-- username/password entry -->
<item type="entry" id="user-pw-entry">
<normal color="#000000" font="Sans Bold 11"/>
<pos width="100" height="20"/>

that's because he only included 128x128 pngs

you can use copy the scalable directory to 16x16 22x22 24x24 32x32 36x36 48x48 64x64 72x72 96x96 and then go to every subdir and run "mogrify -resizes [newsizes] *.png"

using a script with "for x in ... done" makes this a lot easier. - Aug 28 2007

Cool.

I got a small feature request:

then the size of the panel is >= 48px the window-list should display two entries per line, like in the pixmaps engine (or KDE's Kicker) 'cause it does not look good if only one is shown.

I've got some questions:

I built engine with --prefix=/usr --enable-animation --enable-macmenu --enable-animationtoleft

a)

How do I enable the Macmenu? or is there more to do?

b)

How do I enable the animationtoleft option? or do I have to rebuild without --enable-animation and only with --enable-animationtoleft?

c)

How do I Change the scrollbarcolor?
colorize_scrollbar = TRUE does not work ...

d)

How do I change the checkbutton color?

Thanks
