Hi! Thanks for this application, I was really missing it.

I have several things to say:

1) gtk-engines-pixmap was not needed on Gentoo.
2) You could add 2 options instead of one:
* Use current KDE wiget style and color scheme
* Use following widget style:
[.....]
[ ] Apply KDE color scheme to GTK applications

A couple of problems:
1) Text area in gtk applications is not white, but gray. (Using default oxygen color scheme)
2) Horizontal scrollbars don't work.

I get these warnings when running a gtk application:

(This one is probably quite expected)
Gtk-WARNING **: Theme directory scalable/animations/small/22x22 of theme oxygen has no size field


WARNING **: Invalid borders specified for theme pixmap:

Hi!

I don't have Qt4 and I don't have permission to install it on my computer. Could you please provide any old tar ball? (I looked through the revision and it seems that Qt3->Qt4 change was done around version 7... so please provide me a link to version 6 tarball!

Oh, I meant that the default icon in your theme is (your) Elbuntu logo. As a default icon it might need a change (because "by default things should be distro-independent).

ok, this may seem a little odd way but try this: run zsh. Then give these commands:

autoload -U zkbd colors
zkbd

This program will figure out all the escape sequences that are to be sourced to work in the terminal.

You can try having the same in bash then, though I am not sure of sucess with bash. - Jul 23 2007

Sorry to cause this confusion. I am not a native speaker of English. I never meant that I created this wallpaper. I have corrected the information.

The usage of "detour-pre3" is to show which theme I have used (that was the name of file when I downloaded it). It is to GIVE credit not steal it. - Jun 23 2007

Here is my opinion:
1. Keep them added!
2. Add an option, very visible, to disable them.

I know it gets annoying to have so many entries in the menu, but it is also the way "common" people like. It is a usability issue and people migrating from Windows expect to find the application in the context menu. It actually makes sense! How else a newbie is going to find every application, given the sheer number of programs KDE default install gives you, with every distro adding their own bit of categories. - May 15 2007

Yep dear! It is easy. Give following commands:

1. tar -jxvf SnowIsh-kde-1.3_build.tar.bz2
2. cd SnowIsh-kde-1.3_build
3. ./buildset

This will create a file named SnowIsh-1.3.tar.bz2. You can install this file as icon using Control Panel > Appearance & Themes > Icons > Install New Theme

To run complete buildset, you will need ImageMagik. Search on google for more info on how to install it, if that is not installed.

It works like a charm! Though I had to modify the shell script since I configured to install the libkgtk.so to /usr/kde/3.5/lib (default of gentoo)

I suggest to just modify the ./configure to make necessary modifications in the shell script too.

Hi, yesterday I installed gentoo afresh. I emerged superkaramba and then installed ViewPortageX. But it is not running. It just doesn't draw itseld. It does show up if I move it though (by right clicking->toggle lock position). But then it is never upgraded. Clicking on configure button messes up in drawing the 'configure location', and repressing configure button again redraws a new 'configure location' beside the older one.

Is there some dependency issue? As I mentioned, I don't have PyQt, PyKde etc... are they needed? - Feb 25 2006
