Try to uncompress the tarball and move "hydroxygen 0.1c" within /.icons.
First remove the unworking iconset from the icons list.

Thanks because the iconset only has 128x128 icons. When I'll include smaller folders [96x96, 72x72 and so on] you won't have icons big like those ;)

Well... you're simply right.
The one and only way to have not fuzzy icons [expecially the 24x24 ones and smaller] is to have a scalable folder with .svg icons.
As you can see, I only use .png icons, which appear a little fuzzy when scaled from 128x128 to smaller resolutions.

But this iconset is only .png.
Maybe one time in the future I'll release an iconset with only .svg icons. That won't be so fuzzy ;)

Ti install the iconset, just download it onto your desktop in tar.bz2 format, then open System > Preferences > Theme.
Drag&Drop the tarball into the Theme window, then the iconset will automatically install.

There are many ways to install an Icon Theme.
The easier one is to have the iconset compressed in .tar.gz placed on your desktop.
Then go to System > Preferences > Theme.
A new window will open, with all the themes you have installed.

Now just simply drag&drop the iconset tarball within the Themes window.
Wait until the icontheme is installed, then the System will notice you that everything has perfectly installed.

To use it, go to Customize [from the Themes window], select the Icons tab and choose the one you want.

If you have some trouble, feel free to ask.

I never tried my iconsets on that distro and with that browser [but if it's FF3 based.. there should be no problem].

Just try another Oxygen Iconset modification by me [you can find many other colourized versions], and let me know if the problem still remains.
If it still remains, the problem cannot be fixed, otherwise I'll work on the White modification package.

Which version of FF and Ubuntu are you using?
I did a trial with FF2 and FF3 on Ubuntu 8.04 and [on another PC] on Ubuntu 7.04.
Well.. everything's working fine.
Maybe it is just a problem with your PC, or just how you installed the iconset. - Jul 13 2008

Save the .tar.bz2 file within your Desktop.

Then [in Ubuntu] go System > Preferences > Theme

Simply drag&drop the tar.bz2 file into the theme window and wait for the setup to be completed.
You will be prompted to use the new heme installed or to mantain your actual iconset.

If you experience some trouble installing this way, there is another "harder" way.
Extract the archive into your Desktop [right click on the tarball > Extract here].
Wait for the extraction to be completed, then open a terminal.
Prompt:

sudo cp -r /home/yourusername/Desktop/OxygenRefit2-green-version /home/yourusername/.icons

Just change "yourusername" with the username you have within Ubuntu [or any other Gnome DE OS].
